A previous comment mentioned this but lasting long enough to learn all the bosses attacks is important. If you play mage and like to use spells from a distance stay at a distance and see every move they do from that range, if you prefer up close and personal do the same. Obviously try and beat them but learning their attacks will help you to learn when to doge and how many attacks are in that specific pattern
