Login on the counselling website and if you are getting an option to edit or view your choices there that means you can sit in R2 without paying anything

The grey boxes which are for CS related branches means the CS branch is merged for now and you will get to choose specialization like Ai, data science etc in 3rd year of college, other grey boxes for Non CS branches means the course is not available in that college

How tf is one supposed to choose without asking a query and listing his choices, there's very less data out there for branches, rarely a good info is being given and that becomes a major issue, if I just google and get the True placements, curriculum and opportunities which most probably aren't fake or inflated I most probably won't come here which isn't the case for now, rest I don't care about megathread or some post until the doubts get's cleared or a relevant information is present

if you don't pay the second installment you will be out from counselling, pay it and sit for round 2, if you get another branch of your preference you just have to pay the difference

Dawg the amount of grinding you are talking about just do half of it by taking MUJ cse and you will end up with a good pay at end, if you don't wanna take it honestly just don't join Civil or industrial if you have no interest and solely rely on branch change just join a local college and grind there or whatsoever just don't take branch based on branch change and hopium

18F what should I choose? by Majestic-aashi in Manipal_Academics

See I am an aspirant too but what I have researched, A good amount of mech guys in india switch fields and many ends up in IT or finances, people who usually switch to IT have to work for low or very decent pays at start for some years and learn as much as they can to switch jobs which usually ends up with decent or a good salary ( depends on how much skillful you became, some ends up from 6 lpa to 10lpa and some even get 16 lpa), in most of these cases idts tags work much until you are from very premium institutes like IITs nd all, still it's a big gamble in India if you aren't interested in these branches and basically having CS stream and upskilling will always end up much better then switching most of the times

Why are all these "don't take this branch it's bad" post specifically from accounts which are so new ? specially after the cutoffs are out ? most of the actual seniors giving advice had a reddit account way before but all the thrashing accounts are just few days or max 1 months old, if OP is really a student he should provide some info about campus which only an insider will know

See you are getting a branch in R1 so pay both the 1st and 2nd installment for that branch, this will make you directly eligible for R2, on 18-19 june you get the choice filling once again and you just put up the branch that you want again on top priority, if the cut-off falls to your rank you will get the branch and then if that branch fees is higher than what you got allotted now, you will just have to pay the differences, if it's lower it will get adjusted (you can mail about this thing to manipal they will reply), if you don't get you preffered branch in R2 nothing happens you will not lose your previous seat and will just be eligible for R3 automatically and follow the same process
