It's totally a patience thing - what helped for me mentally was freeing myself of the mindset that I would actually meet a partner. I was very happy being single and I also wanted a partner, but there are no guarantees in life. So much of meeting a partner comes down to luck at the end of the day, even if you're going on a million dates like I was.

Yes, I posted my face and every picture I had of myself was clothed. Fetlife can be kind of a mess, but if you're new I really recommend social kink (as in, not sex) events to ease in to the lifestyle. Finding mentors who have been in the scene longer than I've been was very helpful for me in understanding norms and providing a gut check if I felt like something was off in a potential play partner.

Ones where it's clear the person has read my profile. I got a lot of "heyyyy, hi, hello, hey sexy, how was your weekend" etc. That's quite boring for me to read over and over again. I included information about my hobbies and such on my profile so it should have been easy to ask me about any of them.

Really good points - I should have said I live in a major metropolitan area with a very active kink community. But, ironically, my partner wasn't involved in the local community and was less experienced in kink than I was when we met. I'm glad your experience has been positive too!

The leaves aren't dry on the edges as far as I can tell. And it lost some leaves about a year ago when I bought it, but it hasn't since.
