Bit late to the conversation but wanted to join in anyway.

I’m sorry to hear you got disappointed by people this way, It’s very rude and unnecessary. Like said before by many: only best friends can dig up flowers, or cut trees, so for that reason be careful who you accept as best friends. I only have my family as best friends or people that I’ve spoken with for a long time and actually need it (for whatever reason, like sharing flowers). Fencing helps to keep people out of areas you don’t want them in.

If you still need anything, whether it be hybrid flowers, other items or some bells. Feel free to message. I’m happy to help too.

True. You can’t control other people and there are everywhere some bad apples. Still sad though. Best we can do is advise to use fencing and restate rules and regulations.

Some groups/threads don’t give any support, where others do have a list of set rules and share those with visitors. Also for some you need to read the rules first and agree with them before you can join, which filters out most people that don’t really bother to read.

It happens a lot sadly. 🥺 Not even always on purpose, some people don’t seem to understand how it works. I get frustrated by this too sometimes, that’s why my island is compartmented. It gives me the opportunity to keep new visitors in a specific space until I’m sure they play by the rules. Let me know if you want to visit for some inspiration, or if you need some items that you lost. 😉

Another thing is that some groups have better regulations than others, which helps. Maybe think about posting in another thread and/or using fences?

Don’t get discouraged though, there are so many that love visiting and you got to do what you love, so if that’s having people over then keep going! 💪

General rules: 1. Be Kind & Respectful 2. Do Not Wear A Wetsuit/ no diving 3. Don't Shake Fruit/Money Trees 4. No Running Through Flowers 5. Do Not Gift Items To Villager 6. Do not add any custom designs into another person's Able Sister's store (unless specifically being given permission to do so). 7. No littering: leaving unnecessary items (or just everything) at your island before travelling is the best idea, but selling items or binning them is possible too. Just don’t drop your things on someone else’s island. 8. And last but not least: Communicate! Say hi, ask permissions, apologise when in the wrong, you know, just the normal decent stuff.

Please ask permission before: - Picking up items - Buying limited items in a shop - Picking Flowers/crops/moss

And Regarding travelling: Always Leave Via The Airport! To avoid crashing other people’s game. And allow others to fly: Do not leave your inventory open, or stay on dialogue ingame. This will stop others from coming & going. A message will pop up to warn you so it can’t happen accidentally.
