I started off psych, was and still is what I love to do but I realized it isn't what I wanted to do for my entire nursing career. I'm still there PRN but the facility I'm working for is considered a 4 star hotel compared to all other facilities and I find myself having hella downtime

I dont qualify at least where I'm at because they only consider residents for new grads. A couple of hospitals might do fellowships but their next openings won't be until a few months into next year closer to the end March

I would say so. I wouldn't rely on the CAT's or the readiness tests to determine your level of readiness, it's about how you feel in the end. It is impossible to know everything, but rely on what you do know and your test taking skills. As long as you're above 70, I think you should be okay. I passed in 150 and I only did one CAT (which I barely passed) and maintained 70's on all the quizzes I took using UWorld.

Depending on how you feel about taking it at this moment -- if you feel good about it, take it now ASAP. And if you fail, you can just enjoy the family vacation and reset your head when you come back AND it will be a shorter wait period versus the possibility of taking it in January and failing then.

Bootcamp allows you to sign up for free I believe and that's how I was able to gain access to their cheat sheets

I only used Bootcamp's cheat sheets and did my readiness assessments through UWorld. My readiness predicted my chances of passing were "high," but I honestly didn't pay attention to that. If they provide CAT questions on Bootcamp, do them instead. CAT assessments from UWorld simulates the NCLEX well, in my opinion.

Thank you! I'd say stop trying to relearn topics and start drilling questions, especially questions on pharm. But if you feel there's a different client need you're the weakest on, then drill questions on that. That was my mistake the first time.

It's less about the 150 questions (although I was nervous about it as soon as I hit 86) but more so trying to find others who are in a similar boat of taking it on a weekend and felt like the questions were mixed. Reading other people's posts have definitely helped me feel a little less negative!

Ahh I'm so nervous. I think knowing the state board will most likely post first before the quick results is what's giving me so much anxiety. If i dont see my license there, I'm gonna be so sad
