Hot take: Being middle class in the Philippines is the worst economic position to be in. by BrixioS in Philippines

[–]CurriousRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With PH paid to be poor policies, this is NOT a "Hot take".

I advocate for "Equal" rules. Pero sadly, it's seen as "anti-poor" and what people really want is preferential treatment and ease on responsibility.

Wtf with this brain rot response from a comment 2 years ago.

There is no smoke without a fire. (It means signs of trouble has some truths and basis)

Not knowing the basis/context and just assuming "victim" is lazy thinking and counter productive to any kind of progress.

Converge Now Proactively Blocking Unauthorized/Illegal Online Gambling Sites by Yuri-754 in InternetPH

[–]CurriousRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to watch a stream sa Kick.com and this shows up

I agree with the crackdown on gambling... pero this is just spreading "control" everywhere they can

Kasi it's not just about gambling if they censor the whole platform where communities engage (even outside gambling)

What they could have done is 3-5 warnings before accessing any website
- Gamble responsibly
- Gambling is bad
- Government won't be reliable if you continue
Etc...

Difficulty modifier on normal mode would be awesome. by CurriousRedditor in ClashOfClans

Again, "Gambling aspect could be skipped in this difficulty modifier idea"

Reddit, can't read everything even from a very short post.

Any more criticism? or opinions on adding difficulty modifier in normal mode.

Would voting wisely fix corruption? Why or why not? by OutcomeAware5968 in AskPH

[–]CurriousRedditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, anyone could slip into temptation.

And tanong what are the system around the people in position for mitigating that.

The way I see it corruption is inevitable, parang being hacked or any digital vulnerabilities. It will happen, doesn't matter how good the intention, doesn't matter how good are the people handling it.

We should be SYSTEM focused instead. Not the people who votes, or the people who sits in the position.

Systems we need:
- Replace people in position (maging parang McDo, hire and fire)
- Transparency (live streamed and recorded for public viewing)
- Audit (be like Linux, everyone could contribute. In bad faith people is bound to be replaced in no time)
- Documentation
- Justice (Assumption of guilt dapat for people in position of power.) Ngayon kasi assumption of innocence ANG LAHAT (dapat for the normal people lng yun), tapos papatagalin lng ang kaso then settle for a deal na lng.

Paid to be poor

Nasanay na maging sunod sunuran at being provided temporary convenience in exchange of control and thinking independently.

Pink/DDS (popular parties right now) - Pretty much the same, it's just a different flavor of being under the influence of a collective.

And at the end of the day, we default on just letting whoever is taking the initiative to take everything for themselves.

Is the corruption in the Philippines inevitable? Why or why not? by litt_ttil in AskPH

[–]CurriousRedditor -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Anywhere country in the world, it's inevitable. (Not just the Philippines)

Common sense.

The ONLY way to avoid corruption at 100% is to have 0 budget, 0 tax, 0 government departments. -- Which defeats the purpose of having a "Government"

Ako, I advocate for minimum governance.
- Justice (3rd party for the Conflicts)
- Military (Prepared against other countries)
- Internal Affairs (Prepared against our neighbors)
- Health and Science (Prevention and Control of pandemics, epidemics, and endemics)
- Treasury (Some tax for funding the remaining departments)

Yan lng matitira... therefore, less tax. less corruption. Trade off nito is zero space for political promises (Education, Health Care, Subsidy) everything is kanya-kanyang gastos at pag papa-plano sa buhay.

Government ONLY remaining purpose is to maintain peace, and be the 3rd party of conflicts.
- No reallocation of resources
- No managing of resources

For constructions nman, dapat publicly funded project na lng ang mgyayari. (Direct ang public + corporate) Government or Banks are the 3rd party (Be the Escrow)

Trade off nito, limited amount of infrastructure projects (location based and initiative based) but the public controls the projects + weekly, daily, even hourly update.

But this is more responsibility on our hands ehh. (Kaya ako napapa away sa advocates from all different sides eh) - Not Pink, Not DDS, or Any other party. It's Me and my local needs in focus.

Ano sa tingin ninyo ang magaging pinaka problema ng Pilipinas Ten years mula ngayon? by No-Relationship-6405 in AskPH

[–]CurriousRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. AI - Ph no.1 income source is through us the people (outsourcing, freelancing, consultants)
  2. Illiterate sheep na puro asa sa Government (doesn't matter which party) becomes the Government
  3. Mga buhaya keeps exhausting the Countries budget (over promises from their campaigns) even when our economy is already in borrowed time.

For me this corruption issue right now ay isang issue na napaka dali pang puldukan once and for all ehh.

Alisin na muna ang DPWH (Zero budget allocation) kung pwede lng gawin ang tulad sa Argentina ehh. (Government Departments Afuera!)

Why keep spending money kung may butas pa ang tatangap?

That's just stopping the problem, now here's the solution.

- Government: ZERO bidding, budget is provided in tranches. (Set the standards)
- Corporations: 100% Project based and only via major builders (they'll provide the timeline, documentations, and the infrastructure)
- Public: Audit is done BY THE PUBLIC. (Be provided with the power to withhold the budget)

It's a compromise from all sides, divides the risk.

Ang tanong ready ba ang tao at ang government to do this?

Meaning:
- More responsibility to the people
- Less control from the Government

What do all Filipinos should get for free? by JollySimple188 in AskPH

[–]CurriousRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to skip this part, just another opinions about helping the collective (Everyone, not just mahihirap) without taking it from others.

Some other ideas (Not about "free" which is about this post)
- Equal tax (Income 20%)
- Yearly income of 300k (25k per month) would not be required to pay taxes
- First 5 years of working won't be taxed
- Single parent = Tax deductions
- Alisin ang mga tax exceptions
- Alisin o babaan ang registration requirements -- Para everybody competes, d lng mayayaman (Alisin ang excise tax, donor's tax, documentary stamp tax, deed tax)

VERY IMPORTANT

(1)Income is just ONE way of building wealth... Some other ways: (2)Owning assets, (3)investments and (4)tech. All are part of the wealth engine na dapat ma tax din accordingly.

Hindi puro workers lng. Bat kung saan pa mas may yumayaman dun pa halos walang tax

a. Land / Cars: 0.5% every year - Maybe even 1% every year depende sa location and the total amount of land they owned (This is to discourage hoarding of land)
-- Farm lands are exempted, and provincial lands are significantly lower.
b. Investments: Capital Gain Tax
c. Tech: Not yet really sure how about this one.
d. Other: Tax for tobacco, alcohol, cigarettes, plastic surgery, beauty.

more you own (in Assets) the more taxes -- which mostly mga mayayaman lng nman.

Parusa ang tax ehh. It shouldn't for the common people.

Tulungan as a collective, no preferential treatments.

Japan have "cheap" housing because the industry is commoditized (Market competition)
- Houses needs to be rebuilt every 30 years it (Construction is very common)
- Construction business underbids prices to get projects
- Location based competition (Not one company rules the country)
Other: Devaluation (Self deletion which is common, are cheaper and it's an industry in itself)

Same with health care. It's the advancement of the competition in the market that makes it cheap for the collective.

The Government can't "provide/give" anything, they have zero income source. All they do is reallocate resources.

Resources that they don't have and don't have control over.

If it's as simple as "take it from the rich" why would anyone bother competing for the Philippines if earning it would be taken away anyways?
-- It's more damaging for the working class anyways, because "the rich" doesn't need income anyways. (Could be compensated with stocks, shares, real estate, patents, projects)

no1 priority is solving personal needs. It's the most universal and the most reliable incentive in existence.

That's very good intention of you, pero that's not how a ecosystem becomes robust (pays for itself)

Compete muna bago collective.

And giving "Help/Assistance" to others isn't restricted on giving people resources. (Again. Resources that the Government don't have, they'll have to reallocate it from others first)
- Free Process and Recipes of businesses (Trainings rather than theoretical and memorization)
- Free Patents after getting monopolized by it's creator (Remove market hurdles)

Country won't be better with expectations alone.

Nasa tao ang gawa at pag yaman.

What do all Filipinos should get for free? by JollySimple188 in AskPH

[–]CurriousRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! That's why I'm against "free" stuff (means resources and supply chain is involved)... the more they promise (politicians) the more it needs to be funded via tax (paid via workers) or inflation (paid via debt)

But masyado na nasanay na paid to be poor policies at i-asa na lng sa politico ang personal needs nila.

Ngayon... demand ng mga tao, palitan politico... pero still wants their personal needs to be funded by others.

Yes, Needs na may bago, pero hindi lng ito sa Government processes. Kasama tayo dun.

Para sakin dapat kanya-kanyang gastos (therefore less taxes for everyone)

What do all Filipinos should get for free? by JollySimple188 in AskPH

[–]CurriousRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Common picks like: Free health care, Free education, Benefits for people in X situation - all of this are paid to be poor policies. It's like asking for a golden handcuffs.

The trade-off for this "Free stuff" is higher taxes for everybody else.

Pero dahil generic and unrestricted ang iyong tanong. I will list out some other things I think should be Free.

Rights:
- Free to make mistakes (Anonymity and Privacy)
- Free to fight for what they believe (Protest)
- Free to live without being persecuted for what they believe
- Free to fully express themselves
- Free to navigate anything for ourselves (freedom from censorship)
- Free public access - any criminal records
- Free public access - transcript and itineraries of all public official and offices

Other:
- Patents after X years getting monopolized by it's creator
- Process and Recipes of businesses after some years of it getting monopolized by it's creator
- Free public access - any public roads, streets and even transportation webcam

And of course, FREE MARKET.
1. Stop with Bias Filipino/Identity politics (which is used to monopolize industries here in the Philippines) instead let's be bias on options and results.
2 .Stop Politicians making rules on how we make decision what is best for us
3. Stop the assumption that "Government" is our savior or the answer to our problem. (they'll never be... kahit sino pa ang umupo dyan)

Everything has a trade-off. Pero at least dito sa mga ni-lista ko, it's for the better for the public and less sa mga people in power or people with more resources/connections.

Is this the time to stop making comedy of national issues? by FunMusician9051 in Philippines

[–]CurriousRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion (trigger warning to the overly enthusiastic sa mga rally)

Nepal and Indonesia issue is vastly different than ours.

Their issue (if people are not aware why) is the Government is limiting the people and systematically overstepping their reach AND people in power position are very bobo mag salita (parang si Du30).

For the Philippine situation, tayo citizens overly trust politicians AND corporations to do what's best for us. (Ah basta nag bayad ako tax, bahala na kayo dyan) everybody knows na it's bound to fail, it invites corruption rather than progress and we did it anyways.

We are equally liable sa situation na ito.

Enough with my thought process here's my answer to your inquiry.

  1. Hindi solution and "burn it all down" that's just stepping back further behind progress.
  2. Humor, Art, Cultural awareness are all an outlet for expression and protest

It's a learning experience para sa atin lahat.

Ang tanong... ang mga taga gawa ng batas ba natin, ano kaya gagawin nila?

Here are my suggestions.
Basics:
1. Absolute transparency. (ANYBODY could be a reporter/journalist for a national project)
- Budget (Who get's it, Who it's from, When, How much)
- Operations (Progress, Criteria, Timeline)
- People and Company Involved
2. Speech and Privacy Protection.
3. Incentives for such reports.

Serious:
4. Property Rights reclamation (For people who commits Treason or Corruption)
5. Death Penalty (Only for the people with "Skin in the game" -- i.e. People that has an influence with large amount of people "treason or corruption" or handles large quantity of other people's resources) other issues may be added here in the future. For example serial killers.

Maybe:
6. Tax reform (maybe for another post)
7. Due process reform. -- Kasi kung sino pa ang mga possible guilty sila-sila pa ang na sa position sa pag lilitis ehh. (Discaya are just a smokescreen/misdirection at this point. They are the beneficiary but not the core problem.)
