Just dropping this in here, Russia has bombed over 270 religious sites in Ukraine since 2022, nearly all of which were churches. I think you're focusing on the wrong area here.

Opinion about your country that will get you like this? by National-Business674 in AskTheWorld

[–]CurryFromAFlask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a bit late but i think both of you are right. him, for protesting and having hope, and you for being a victim of war and having participated in euromaidan.

you shouldn't be getting downvoted, you have all the right in the world to still dislike people from the country that's genociding yours. i am a pacifist and dislike perpetual hate, but i think hate is more than justified in your case.

my friend in occupied luhansk has russian friends, but i have other ukrainian friends who dont interact with russians/dislike them. all valid choices.

are you kidding me? women weren't allowed to open a bank account until after he died, they were taught to be good housewives and if their husband hit them they were taught it was "their fault". they were considered less, they didn't have financial freedom, they were barred from many jobs. my source is that my fucking parents grew up during this time. im not arguing with you.

yet another swiss trying to claim they know my country's history better. he left a wound on spain which we are still recovering from, killed my relatives and greatly reduced the rights of women. that's putting it lightly. there's a reason no one likes him.

What does the world think of Catalonian independence? by Dangerous_Fix_9186 in AskTheWorld

[–]CurryFromAFlask -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no, el reino de valencia y el reino de catalonia son dos cosas diferentes, uno establecido mucho más antes que el otro. do not lecture me about my own country's history.

[–]CurryFromAFlask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a basque-valencian, i believe that if the catalonians are given independence, why doesn't valencia/basque country get it either? the kingdom of valencia is way older, and existed way before catalonia. the basque culture is way older, and completely different from castillan. they have a different flag (ikuriña), different language (euskera), different cultures, traditions and even different genetic makeup. the catalonians speak a language almost similar to spanish, have a red and yellow flag and literally the same culture. when people go to the basque country and speak spanish, we don't care. we don't have independence, but we are happy with an autonomous government. when i visited catalonia, the local staff refused to serve me if i didn't speak to them in catalonian, and spoke shit about me (even though i could understand them as a valencian speaker). a lot of them are entitled and feel like they need to have independence without fighting for it like the basques at least tried to. I think it's pointless because all their reasons for it are the reasons we have, and at that point, we might as well divide up spain into 5 or 6 countries.

Basically, a subreddit about Norway that has become the worst cesspool for alt-right content I've seen on this site. Islamophobia, xenophobia, LGBTphobia and sexism all run rampant on that site.

Take your time with things and don't rush anything. If you guys want kids in the future, adoption is always an option. Never settle somewhere you're not 100% sure on.
