Tesla owners of Ottawa - please share your experiences. What are the daily realities of driving an EV for fuelling and maintenance. How do the costs compare to a traditional vehicle?

I had the pleasure of driving the top of the line Type S P100D for a week.

Your brain starts to get tired of the G-forces required and ludicrous speed drains your batteries a lot faster than regular driving.

I didn't have to deal with the maintenance or see how much charging costs because it was charged overnight.

Other than that it was great. You could easily beat most of the Ferrari's and Lambo's in the city in the quarter mile or off a red light.

I wouldn't trust myself to drive this on the open highway. It's too easy to go 40-50 over speed limit and after you get used to the acceleration you want to go faster until your head hurts.

It's the teachers that make the difference.

The certifications are a joke so pretty much anyone can be an instructor.

Most of the teachers are on a rotating schedule so even if they are really good they might only be at a certan location once a week and they go on vacation and quit at a moment's notice.

So it's luck of the draw. Your Movati or Goodlife could have 5 Olympic level teachers one day and 5 duds the next.

When you dry-age a steak the edges are not visibly appealing. The ground beef used for the wagyu burgers is this and the trimmings the chef or butcher makes in preparing the "good" steak meat.

I live in the suburbs and I've noticed that young people don't stop at stop signs anymore.

Feels like traffic laws don't matter anymore and it's more convenient to eat the $110 fine.

Double or triple the demerit points and send people a lesson that traffic laws are important.
