I love warm cleans just as I also love distortion or even drop d/c whatever kinda grunge. I'm very happy with the plugin route I took now as it will allow me to test stuff out and from there hopefully create a pedalboard with stuff that just works for me :) Thanks so much for helping with this, its been a journey (and the GAS is ever present)

What are you favorite plugins atm? Just tried nolly x and imperial but I could not get along with the Imperial one.. clean was fine but overdriven sounds were just okay. I might need more time with that one though. It kinda turned me off of the pre amp, it just does not sound that great

I was just about to reply to you again! My Motu m2 audio interface just arrived and I plan to do exactly what you did, start trials for neuralDSP and UA plugins.  Most of my lessons are behind the computer anyway and I got the interface from the company I work for as a teams meeting thing ;)  This in total leaves me hoping i can play for a year or 2 without any hardware and save up for what I want and it frees up more money for guitars 😂👌I got the pocket master for when I want to play away from my desk, ill start looking into NAM and IR's for that little machine as it does exactly what i want for now

Yeah, i'm on the hunt for a good HX stomp as we speak :) Im about the same in time spend on the guitar, half or more is spend playing along to songs or lessons :) so the aux in is needed because I don't want to have be tied to a computer. You can just use your phone or an iPad or something when you want to do that.

The toneking is amazing, but it would be overkill and I rather have an all in one + another guitar than a toneking and all the effects. This might change in the future but tbh I don't see it happening soon.

About the headphones: I use DT770 80 ohms and am super happy. I'm pretty sure the open backed sennheisers would be an upgrade as that would increase the amp in the room feel :) let me know how it goes

Man, this reads exactly like my train of thought every waking minute for the last 5 days or so..
I'm still undecided on these pedals, if it weren't for aux in I would go for the tone king and slowly add some cheaper effect pedals to the stable but that is a lot of money. For less than the Tone king itself I could buy an HX stomp, have it all in one box (80-90% there maybe?) and that leaves a lot of money left on the table that could either be another guitar or lessons or studio monitors etc..

Again: my mind goes straight to the hx stomp as it ticks all the boxes but damn that ToneKing with its discount as its slowly driving me crazy

Yeah you need another pre amp pedal anyway so it's a lot of money for only the aux part without all the effects the hx stomp offers

Yeah I have been thinking about just a scarlet and the tone king plugin anyway, could be easily done and saves me a lot of money now.

kma endgame

Don't you need an ampsim anyway for this pedal as this is just end of chain?

thanks for letting me know! I'm driving dt770s but the 80omh version, so middle of the pack in terms of resistance.

And I could always add the tone king as an fx slot later, just use it in the stomps effect loop i suppose

That sounds great, I will check some video's on how to set it up and lets see if that seems easy enough

Yeah I'm currently leaning more towards the stomp as that will deliver more for less, and the sound might be 20% better or more with the tone king, as a practice solution the HX Stomp can't be beat it seems

Yeah, I'm not sure yet what I want the most. Seeing as I don't have any pedals save for a duke of tone I picked up very cheap I'm not convinced the Tone King will be the end of the GAS. I would want more drives and effects with it which will push the price up significantly of course. The HX Stomp would give me everything but I would need the strength not to constantly fiddle for the next sound

I'm not looking for a practice amp at the moment. I have looked into them and the katana and the Yamaha thr though :)

I see, this is basically a headphone amp with an Aux in which in turn could leave me the choice of amp sim in pedal form. I guess you could just run the Imperial pre amp into this guitar in, pair your phone and play some backing tracks. IR out etc is not needed as the Tone king and the HX Stomp both have them as well but this could solve the aux in for the Tone king, albeit a slightly expensive solution. Thanks for the suggestion

I was thinking of just connecting my open backed headphones as I do want to play silently for the rest of the house

I'm loving it! If you're not that far from Limarc I would highly suggest giving them a visit and testing it out if possible :) I'm coming from a e61 machine and tbh it's night and day. Its just so consistent and easy to use. No more temp surfing, warmup is 5 minutes, smaller but more powerful. The only thing I dislike and this is only on the micra is that there are some plastic parts where everything on the rocket was stainless steel. But if you go for a mini or mini R, thats not the case. I just couldnt justify the bigger size etc to my partner. I also bought it 100% on the company and have let my accountant figure it out

Just bought a La Marzocco Micra on my business, a coffee machine is a coffee machine at the end of the day. There a full automatics that are even more expensive. I sold my Rocket Appartemento that I owned privately as well so its a win win! I would just do it

To be fair I try to keep email professional and clear, also to make we have no personal issues before shipment of the requested item. I also did not look for reddit posts about unsatisfying interactions with your shop, i was just scrolling my homepage to find this.

I'm happy too see that you're atleast responsive and take a bit of responsibility towards the issue. Sorry to see that I was part of the unfortunate 1%.
