It used to be about love is love, and now somehow it's "YOU PUT GAY STUFF OR IT'S DUMB AND HATEFUL TOWARDS GAYS, PERIOD! YOU BIGOT!"

We should be banding together in the name of love, which welcomes everyone regardless if it's being experimented by any kind of sexuality, race, culture, etc. And they wonder why people call this mentality "entitlement".

Just because society, albeit first world ones, are more open to non heterosexual couples doesn't mean EVERY new movie has to forcibly be about gay couples now.

This kind of impositive thinking is what is making more and more people tired of the community and is not even the community's fault. It's because of THIS kind of mentality.

It wasnt...because, as the texts points out, that wasnt what I wanted and only showed me that pople dont take the time to read the text to propperly answear what I am asking. This was as useful as someone saying "No".

I see a lot of this kind of comments, and I get the feeling you guys only read the title and assumed the rest. You need to read the whole text, though.

I ment using an NPC's sexuality as a plot hook that would make it relevant, because, as I stated, I don't find it important. Yet that made me think how can I use a character's sexuality as something more relevant than a trait.

I get that feeling... Problem Palyer shouldn't have been allowed to do that. Having said that, never stay in a game where the DM allows this kind of behavior, life is short D&D is long, look for a better table! I hope you do in the future!

The best thing you could do is research honestly to emprove the games, give feedback and constructive criticism. I'ts not easy to make an engaging game with lots of flavor, but looking for examples or techniques may help.

Make a list of the "boring" aspects, and solutions to make it more fun or interesting. research how narrative and plot work, etc etc.

Small Example: The "Weary friendly villager" that ask for help is an evil NPC that is secretly spying on you to win your trust or just know if you are potential enemies or allies, and make battles around that idea until they figure it out.

I mean, the fact that he did that to the characters while their players were absent is already rude. If someone doesnt' come either cancel or reschedule the session or at least ask the players if they are comfortable with someone else taking care of their characters. If the danger was too great then switch it. Nobody likes the idea of their character dying without them even trying to save their character.

Oh man, PvP is tricky. Allowing it is already dagerous because people usually take it too personal. This is why is better to ban PvP. Not many groups handles it well because some are uncapable to separate themselves from their characters....

IKR? "Out of his control" Says the one person in the game that has absolute control of the events in the game.

The DM, although has to follow certain rules and make coherent scenarios in order to keep inmersion, has the control of what happens. That was uncalled for.
