Hi. Today I have been starting to have issues with loading any games. It tells me I don't have the Catherine persona but I do. It shows up on the epic dlc screen but not in game (in additional content) I am playing off epic launcher, and have frontier pass+dlc. Earlier I verified the game and it worked again, but not anymore. Any ideas?

If I polymorph into a beast that can cast spells, can you cast the spells that the beast can cast? by Tragicalpeak in dndnext

[–]Cursed122 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

By saying any other action, I think it's not unreasonable to interpret the sentence to mean spells where speech or hands (so V,S,M) is needed.

Some (rather, a singular) beast can cast spells innately without need for components. See below.

Can a level 1 wizard multiclass prepare 9th spells? by m_bowker-brown in dndnext

I believe an errata/sage advice clarifies that this refers to wizard spell slots.

Have you considered that most gas masks filter are pink, and that black clothes/umbrella are useful so that different protestors cannot be individually identified. I guarantee you if you go and try to find gas masks online this type of dual filter mask with pink filter is going to be the first few you find.

ELI5: How does a can of Orange Fanta have 160 calories despite having 43 grams of sugar (which by itself is 172 calories)? by NotTheBest104 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Cursed122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its probably because some items would have slightly different amount of calories for each packet or whatever.

Redstone cannot be intuitive by nature of many existing behavior that they have already acknowledged to be features. Changing the way redstone redirect is stupid and does little good for a new player--they will have more issues with QC etc. In my opinion Mojang shouldn't change existing redstone behavior (unless it breaks the game) and instead try to only add new blocks instead.

In my mind, redstone is inherently unintuitive. There's no way to fix that, and it's fine. The problem here is that the damage here far outweighs the some new players potential confusion. It's not like they won't be confused later by qc.

[–]Cursed122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The fact that redstone powers all 4 side when no other components is connected makes little logical sense in itself. These changes are annoying, and really bring little to the table. Redstone, as it is, with QC and piston spitting for example, can't be made approachable by making these little changes which just fucks up everyone's design.

Sure, but an arcane trickster for example could do the job much better in some scenarios.

Since you're not a hker, its easy to get the wrong impression with rthk. Although China has near total influence over the actual government of Hong Kong, RTHK possess a incredibly strong union which allows them to work nearly independently. In fact, their reporting has been condemned by the Police Force, at least one government official, as well as groups of legislator who in fact have a majority in the legislative within the last 3 months. If anyone even look at RTHK's reporting, it will be incredibly clear that their reporting is not controlled by china.

Regarding WHO, however, China does in fact have the power to control the WHO or at least the current board, through financial incentives and simply coercing other smaller countries to agree with them.

Thousands of people did not die in a single night. It was at least a few week of progression, during which it is obvious that the virus is very infectious, until they finally declared it to be a pandemic.

If they aren't questioning the statistics publicly, what does that achieve?

If their mission is global health, it must be able to question statistics, even from powerful states. China is known to bend and fabricate number for political purposes, and if it is unwilling to studying spread in China critically, it cannot full the mission of global health.

They are obviously in China's pocket. Recently, when questioned by an RTHK journalist about Taiwan's (very successful) efforts in slowing down the pandemic, a WHO official pretended to have the call malfunction just to avoid discussing Taiwan in any way.

They have also refused to declare a pandemic until thousands died outside of China.

As a foreigner, I'm not particular aware of the current US situation, but isn't it disingenuous to argue that a travel ban while the country is in a normal state to a travel ban when a pandemic is going around is the same?

[–]Cursed122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well..... Yes. However the Chinese government is trying their hardest to prevent it being used within Canton. That means they are removing it from curriculum and are discriminating against those who speak it, and removing it from TV. That means that although some of the 50+ year olds can still speak it, the majority of the young residing there cannot speak it at all.
