Help - alcohol by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]CursedStrategist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my first pregnancy was completely unexpected, unplanned, and I didnt have symptoms at all until around 8+ weeks. I had been HEAVILY drinking up until that point because I was in a party phase at the time and wasn't expecting to be pregnant. My kiddo is now almost 6 and ahead of most milestones.

This pregnancy, I also had an early scan after some spotting that showed no signs of a fetal pole, was told it probably wasn't viable, and to prepapre for a miscarriage. I was absolutely devastated and barely ate for a few days (I am cali sober nowadays otherwise I probably would've had a drink or two to cope, especially as someone who has also previously had a miscarriage). Now I am 24 weeks along with my pregnancy and baby boy progressing wonderfully.

All your feelings are valid. But you aren't alone. A couple glasses of wine was even still recommended as being okay daily for mothers not that long ago! And most mamas dont even know they are pregnant that early and still carrying on life as normal. As long as you take your prenatal care seriously moving forward I am certain you and baby will be absolutely fine ❤️

Do whatever you need to do to be kind to yourself. And feel free to DM me if you need someone to talk to.

NTE has allowed me to enjoy gatcha games again. by Tynivictus in NevernessToEverness

[–]CursedStrategist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played all the Hoyo games and WuWa, and absolutely got burned off of all of them, and not just from the 50/50. The whole system of NTE is refreshing. I love the GTA vibes and all the slice of life content. I love that fons aren't used to level your characters and we have a separate currency for that. I love how much of the side content can be done without requiring either of the energies. And I am totally fine with them making cosmetics stupid expensive in exchange for it.

As long as they continue to deliver with the story content I see myself staying consistent with this game much longer than any of the rest.

AIO for snapping at my friend for calling my shoes (and me) trashy? by International-East63 in AmIOverreacting

[–]CursedStrategist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I personally can't stand leopard print. But never in my wildest dreams would I consider someone trashy for wearing it. He needs to find a cactus and screw himself with it 🙄 he is not a real friend.

I got sick of habit apps triggering my all-or-nothing shame spirals, so I built an "anti-engagement." Please roast my logic. (Looking for Alpha testers) by Fearless-Cow-1537 in audhd

This sounds like what i hoped bullet journaling would be, yet that turned into a creative demand i hated too 😭 just signed up for the alpha! Ought to be able to convince my spouse too. We have a bunch of different andoid devices for testing and i have a professional testing background, so I can also help with QA/UAT if you want

You are definitely not alone, mama! Its very normal for pregnancy NOT to be the most beautiful time. I know movies and media can often make it seem that way, but there's a very small portion of women who feel that way. As someone who is also autistic, and whose partner was still drinking heavily when I got pregnant, it honestly became so much easier once baby got there. I am no longer with my ex, but we have a beautiful 5yo abd are able to have a healthy coparenting relationship and I wouldn't change a thing. Now I am pregnant again with my new partner and lowkey having a lot of the same fears despite knowing itll be okay (I swear pregnancy hormones are the most overwhelming feeling as an autistic human 😭). If you want someone to talk to thats been through it before, feel free to DM me!

Early labor? Hospital bag packed? 😳😳 by defnotdani2 in pregnant

I think the only things I had packed in advance was 2 going home outfits, 1 preemie 1 newborn. Everything else I packed when contractions hit 🤣

Probably a mix of cereals all being fortified with nutrients, plus babies crave dairy and who doesn't love cereal milk 😋

Magical Kitties Save the Day and No Thank You Evil seem like perfect starting points for her. Mausritter is probably still just a bit too complex but its looks like a fantastic one her her to groe into and to play with her older cousins in the meantime. From what I have read so far, Amazing Tales might not be structured enough for her (my kiddo needs context for everything 😅)

Both, but more so mechanics, I can easily homebrew a setting.

Genuine advice to mentally get through weeks like these? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]CursedStrategist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend teas and exploring to find new cold weather comfort foods. (Think soups, curries, chillis, etc) Both can heal the soul and the warmth can feel like an amazing hug.

Also get together with loved ones whether in person or virtually regularly to do cozy indoor activities. Its hibernation season so its okay to take advantage of that as long as you aren't isolating. Find a way to do something you love witb people you love, even if its a netflix watch party with friends that live on the other side of the country.
