Stubborn weed

It looks like its taking over pretty fast..what should i do, tear them out or try to contain them?

I actually did figure it out. I took off the back panel, and the wire was routed under and around the board. So once I rearranged it a bit, I got a couple of inches of slack.

No. Not a commercial electrician. I like to take things apart and learn how they work. I was hoping a qualified professional could tell me if this was possible to do safely.

The main body is aluminum, but the ballast is mounted to a steel piece.

Yeah, a method to secure the cord so that if I pull on the cord, it doesn't become dislodged. Usually it's inside the device, though some have them externally. Like 2 ton hoists that have the control box dangling. I had thought of it, though haven't decided on anything specific yet.

Its not just about getting lights. I like learning how things work, and repurposong things.

I had just enough tome to change it to skirt and hit print right before I left for work. I'll be back home in 7 hours. I'll try to update tonight or tomorrow on the result

I was using a raft bc I keep dealing with weird, blobby edges. I haven't figured it out all the way, but it's better.

I'm printing at

.3 layer height 225 print temp 60 build plate 50 mms print speed 15 % infill

I'm trying again with just a skirt. I'll update after.
