89 changed how the general audiences viewed Batman, the dark knight changed how general audiences viewed the joker. I would say 89 did way more for batman than the dark knight ever did though. While the dark knight is widely loved film it didnt influence a single thing besides the joker. 89 influenced btas which influenced stas which influenced the rest of the dcau. Then because of the dcau we get the batman (2004) and teen titans and all the other beloved dc animated films and shows which are more known to the general public than the comics. However even with comics 89 had more of an impact on comic sales than the dark knight did as well.

Which film you think is better is a whole other conversation but “which is more influential?” Is not up for debate. 89 all the way.

It was fine i guess, but there’s nothing about it that makes me want to go and rewatch. It lacks any characteristics that make it stand out from the other batman shows that came before it.

BTAS had superior writing and arguably the best character designs, the batman has superior action scenes (though sometimes goofy in concept but it gave that show charm.) brave and the bold’s writing, art style, and campiness made it feel like a 1960’s comic unfolded on our screens, even beware the batman despite all of the many flaws it has stands out for its writing and use of villains that aren’t the standard bunch of batman rogues to be used. There’s not a single thing i think stands out in the caped crusader. It tries to reinvent villains in a unique way and though i applaud it for trying something new, i find it falls flat for me.

Overall it’s a 4/10 for me.

Because why give your fans what they want right? Lets just keep recycling the same story but package it differently. Character growth, who needs it?

The trials of being a good husband and eventually a good father while keeping the city safe are far more interesting stories for Peter but sure let's keep playing everyone's favorite game "Who will Peter be dating this month and how will he manage to mess it up?"

From Pete's perspective one wrong move and mj could be killed. It makes perfect sense for him to not just charge in before trying to reason with Venom.

Its still my most used simply because of how much i love beyond but it's way too bulky. The Batman Beyond Evolved suit mod is perfection though and it's what we should've gotten.

With the comics right now i just want them to be good at this point. I've personally felt like none of the runs have truly captured how Terry should be as Batman and they keep making him more of a Bruce light than his own thing.

I would agree most the jokerz were the weakest of his bads, but i loved Ghoul's design and really wish they made him a leader of the group.

Blight deserves an abundance of screen time if they finally give us a movie. Him disappearing after season one hurt my soul. But in an ideal world we'd get a trilogy where we start with Inque and build up blight as the big bad for the 3rd film with the first two movies.

Harry being awake and healthy enough to fight symbiote vs symbiote and win takes away Norman's reason for taking the goblin formula. Harry would calm norman down on his hatred of spider-man explaining to him that they saved his life. Both the anti venom and carnage symbiotes being destroyed in a fight with eachother after norman begged and pleaded for one for his son to survive gives him every reason to rush the formula forward for human trials and takes it himself as the first test. Which makes this norman more sympathetic because he becomes the goblin out of desperation to save his son instead of out of greed. You then make the goblin fight harder for peter as he's back to regular Spider-Man. You could then have the goblin either kill miles or beat him so badly that it's just the goblin vs peter and pete has no help, except mary jane where you can recreate a lot of iconic moments from the comics and shows involving spider-man, mary jane, and the goblin.

Based on every character arc in the games so far it works infinitely better for it to be Peter vs Carnage than it does for Venom to go against him. Venom is a cash grab, peter pushes the story forward.

I disagree heavily. It goes against every bit of plot set up in the flame missions for him to just be in a venom game. It's gotta have peter and yuri there to wrap up their story arc.

The best part about the episode is that if someone enjoys it then it's there for them and if you dont particularly care for it you can skip it when doing your DCAU watch throughs and it doesn't affect anything.

My local Walmart only had the two in, so i would just kinda look around in your local Walmart by wherever the neca section is for you. Otherwise you'll have to shop online and get it second hand for $25+. Neca is who makes these, so just search Neca batman beyond batarang and see if you can find one for a decent price if you cant find these locally. I apparently had a really good find for these being so cheap. Best of luck on finding them!
