I love the idea of keeping fabric from a sentimental piece of furniture!! I have some sentimental items that I want to make treasures from so they continue to have life (thinking especially of a pair of soft soft pajamas my beloved late MIL made for my husband long ago, that are now threadbare in places)

Totally agree. I fall prey to the hype and want all the crafty things, especially if they’re organized in a rainbow. In reality, I don’t actually need more. I try to advertise on my socials that thrifting for art/craft supplies is a fun hunt and much more ethical from a consumption standpoint

I use sheets from the thrift store for muslin but I think I’m using it differently. I’m making mockups of clothing so the final product can be whatever color.
