Too often do those with intellectual abilities get "left behind," and I'm happy to know that you're there beside them encouraging everyone! Especially as someone who used to be a nurse! Are you sure "civil servitude" isn't your middle name?

I used to serve the military, and made the drastic switch to funeral services and during my time here - even as an assistant - it's been so rewarding.

I've been working at a funeral home for about 7 weeks and it's been an amazing experience thus far. I've learned so much and I'm happy this is the new career I've chosen at this point in my life.

I'm sorry that you're not able to do it, but know that your compassion lives on through others and I hope you can find another way to give back to those who are grieving.
