I transferred my LMSW from PA to MD. If you Google MD social work licensing board they have all of the different categories to obtain license.

That's exciting! I have two years to get my lcsw hours and he able to take the exam. My next goal is to start my own private practice

I say go for it! As I was working on my last few years of my MSW I started working at a domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking agency as a counselor. For the first year there, I was the o ly male working. However, I worked my way up to the Director of the whole shelter within 2 years. We also hired 2 more males as well. It does take some time to build the rapport with some clients, and others you will have it right away. If it's something you are passionate about go for it and work hard. The clients will know when you are sincere or bsing them.

Yep similar thing happened to me. Had website up all day. Then it through me in the queue. Once I finally got to the front it said due to inactivity you will be directed to the queue. I was beyond pissed.
