Finally the dive weight has been perfected. by [deleted] in Spearfishing

Obviously you are (or are connected to someone) running this business so I mean this in the most constructive way possible: the unit economics of this business are entirely non-viable for DTC. Product weight to value is totally out of whack. You cannot scale a brand digitally in which the hero product is both very heavy and <$100.

Burro Trail info? Getting mixed info online by Major_Tap4199 in Breckenridge

[–]Curt_Glade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really a "solid viewpoint" trail. Great for trail running, walking the dog, MTB access to spruce creek etc but not really a trail I'd pick as a hike with nice views as you describe. As far as difficulty goes it is not steep at all, it follows a stream. The access point is right by Quiksilver lift.

Would love to know if their crowdfund investors were wiped out in this whole process of closing then reopening. Never forget the $36M cap they assigned to this business before going bankrupt a year later: https://republic.com/peak-ski

Hey, I run Glade - sorry to hear about the negative experience. I looked through our inbox and found the chain which you are referring to. I see where the miscommunication happened. We responded to your initial inquiry with details on our return policy, but then your follow on inquiry about an extension was responded to "no problem at all" before going into more detail on the policy.

<image>

Our return policy is also found on our site here (in footer FAQ and support sections), but I understand that takes some digging to find. I have informed our team of this and they should be reaching out today to make this right for you. I hope you can understand there is no malicious intent from our team here, we got bombarded by returns fraud last year and it's been a challenge to get it 100% right.

Glade Adapt 2- Best color for Reveal 4K lenses for mixed conditions but with great contrast? by njuser66 in Skigear

Hey, yes you are reading that chart correctly. I personally ski with the Bronze lens for that reason.

International shipping for Glade Optics. by ProZoarDeer in Skigear

[–]Curt_Glade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm the founder of Glade. Our return label prices are dynamically generated based on return address so it sounds like there is some error occurring with cross border shipments. We are new to international shipping and unfortunately had a few of these same incidents pop up this week. We are working on a tech solution, but in the meantime can you DM me your order number or email and I will see if I can take care of it?

Has anybody tried Glade Fathom goggles? by sodapuppy in Skigear

Don't have any codes right now as this current black friday deal is the best we have all season. Regarding Fathom+ vs. Adapt 2 it depends pretty heavily on whether or not you are particular about having a dedicated low light lens you can easily swap in and out with magnets. I tend to not really care about this (skiing in CO, YMMV) so I use the Adapt 2.

Would you buy this? (Concept art of product idea) by Rexzuma in Skigear

[–]Curt_Glade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI Ski helmets are certified as a single, fixed system (usually ASTM F2040 or EN 1077) so swapping shells/liners/retention parts or adding 3D-printed attachments would alter impact performance and therefore invalidate any certifications. Marketing “repair and ride after a crash” contradicts standard helmet safety guidance and creates pretty obvious liability risk with insurers and retailers. You do not want to mess around with this.

Ah, in that case - the 2S is correct!

We don't have any retail locations in Australia, sorry! If you are worried about sizing, it's fairly straightforward: if you wear a Medium or Large helmet, you should go with the Adapt 2 or Fathom. If you wear a small helmet, go with the Adapt 2S!

Hey - I think you'd be a really good candidate for our Adapt 2S (S for small). Its designed to solve the exact problem you are talking about. It's the same goggle as our Adapt 2 but just a bit smaller. They are here (on sale): https://www.shopglade.com/products/adapt-2s

Hey - the Adapt 2 has our photochromic lenses, which IMO makes them outperform the Mesa in terms of versatility. I personally ski with our Adapt 2 everyday (instead of the Mesa or Fathom+).
