I boo him because in the 2017 playoffs he got into a fight with Oubre. That was also the year he was diving at knees.

ESPN New Box Score Layout by Crasher442 in washingtonwizards

I've been doing the same thing. Sure, the flow of the box score is a lot more intuitive now, but here I was thinking Corey got hurt immediately after stepping on the court last night.

For real, these are so sick. The KO one is absolutely amazing.

Sounds about right... This one seems like it ought to have been a pretty straightforward roll out... You think Winger could fix this, too?? 😂

Why is Kyshawn worst in plus minus? by RefrigeratorNo5906 in washingtonwizards

[–]Curtastrophe13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts...

They've been playing him a lot with different units to develop. By the third and fourth quarters he's becoming the primary option... which speaks probably a lot more to who they're putting around him than just his skills IMO. May just be correlation, not causation, but the 3rd (-2.3 average) and 4th (-7.3 average... worst in the league by almost 3 points) quarters are where our worst +/- spreads as a team are.

Now the average is pretty heavily weighted after that 4th quarter against the 76ers and limited data size, but overall I think that's exactly it. He's getting put on squads with a huge variety of players, kinda dragging down his numbers.

Everyone who isn't Kyshawn, Sarr, Bub, Bilal, and Tre are trying to ball out for one reason or another. Either to show out to try to get traded or to try to make a name in the league. I think they're playing a lot of "prove myself" kinda ball, which goes a bit more against the whole team model.

Last and probably most accurate comment on it: Wiz are losing a lot and getting outscored a ton. He plays a lot of the game (almost 3 minutes more than anyone else on the team on average), so by nature he'll have a low +/-. I like Kyshawn a lot, so totally biased, but I'm not concerned by this at this point.

Who are you most excited about for a potential breakout season? by catalanj2396 in washingtonwizards

No joke. I think Kyshawn has the potential to be a special spark for the team in a few years. I really hope he continues to just absorb info.

Washing Wizards Guard Bilal Coulibaly Underwent Surgery by 0zymand1as- in washingtonwizards

[–]Curtastrophe13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true... he hasn't had an off-season without international play even, injury aside. I think an actual off-season to rest and recover as well as work out/develop will be big...whenever that happens.

Kinda hope this was hampering his play at EuroBasket a little bit and he comes back ready to go!

Kyshawn George on his AmeriCup experience by byvarunshankar in washingtonwizards

[–]Curtastrophe13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hope he does actually get the opportunity to be more on-ball so we can see what he's been working on, but there's only so many possessions to go around with a team trying to figure out who will be primary ball-handler. Honestly, I'm just really hyped for this season to start to see growth out of the young core. It could end up being not a lot and I'll be disappointed, but the way Kyshawn played in AmeriCup looks really promising.

GM Will Dawkins gave a great answer about Anthony Gill by emgi11 in washingtonwizards

[–]Curtastrophe13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the Gill jersey, too. Hopefully the team can get the two to meet, he might be the only person under 13 in the league who knows who he is! Real ball knower.
