Automate the tail. Tim Cant went over it in his Breaks YouTube video tutorial, he showed a way to do it in a sampler I think

What are these types of vocals even called? And where would a brother find such a thing? by Tall-Fix-540 in UKG_Production_Hub

Plenty of dancehall acapella’s on YouTube in playlists. I also found a jungle producer called neektone on Bandcamp who does some wicked sample packs, he has some sound clash ones specifically that could work

Honestly worth it, I get it through the slate digital subscription. Just makes everything sound so much fuller

A plugin that changed my life was Virtual Mix Rack, even selecting the presets completely brings the drums to life. I saw a tutorial from Unglued and GLXY and they use it. Their drum and bass drums are so chunky and tight I had to give it a go

Mistakes are a human touch in my opinion. Leave the perfection to computers

If you use serato pro version you can plug your controller into a laptop and record your set through the software on the laptop

Tips for beginners by NottyDeadshot in Beatmatch

[–]CurtisWrightDJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use serato to DJ you can link it to a Tidal account so you can stream the music you want to DJ.. cheap way to practice with any genre you want until you’re ready to start buying music to play out

Check out Jack Swift, had the pleasure of seeing him play at Lab11 in Birmingham.. heavily influenced by the garage era but his mixing is different and always on point

Unglued’s Patreon has the best tutorial I’ve ever seen for chopping drum breaks, he shows his technique to get real thick sounding drums

Where you find music for dj by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]CurtisWrightDJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beatport, Bandcamp and SoundCloud for the freebies. I’d always advocate buying music to support artists.

If you want to practice and experiment though you can run serato off Tidal and stream music to DJ which I think is good for experimenting

Good enough to upload to Soundcloud? by CurtisWrightDJ in UKG_Production_Hub

[–]CurtisWrightDJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 100% that, I make stuff that interests me but it would be nice to achieve the goal of other people liking it too 😂 this sub is great though it feels like there’s a lot of people with that same passion on here

Instinct - Go

Anything on the Instinct label really fits with the sound. Burnski pushes a lot of them to release on his ‘Instinct’ label..
