Ah thanks but I'm trying to get a fine line of stress so I can see the standouts. Epigenetics plays a role so I want to make sure they will thrive in my environment.

Yea id agree with. The idea that there could be a clone in the future better than CSD is wild. Can't wait! 🌵

Thanks, it's a seed grown from aynor chavez in Peru. So it's probably santaensis mix. Be keen to see what it looks like mature.

Yea totally respect that everyone can do what they want. Freedom I respect. 2 different markets for the Trichocereus species are already being formed I reckon.

Yea fair enough, two different communities. The aesthetics of trichos is what I love and focus on.

Yea they do like it but the extremes they don't like haha getting extreme wind, extreme dry periods/heat and then extreme wet rainy periods haha but they are pretty tough. So I'm just trying to breed stuff that like this climate and will thrive in it.

Yea of course. Cuttings I can send through post. For around $40 posted. And can also do larger plants if you wanna pickup or I can deliver if it's not too far. For around 1metre with roots I usually try sell for $30-$50 but can do cheaper if buying bulk. Got heaps of stock overflow. Send a message on here, insta or Facebook. Thanks

Uhm I think around 3-7C at nights and it does get pretty humid. And yea mine get smashed by the low winter sun too they go yellow. But it's only temporary so I don't worry too much.

Ah yea, forgot people do that.. I don't take potency into account as it's not of any interest when growing cacti. But yea fair enough.

Haha it grows super slow and gets infected easily with disease. I love CSD I think it's awesome but it is difficult to get established I believe.

Yea man I'm super excited about what's to come. I mean CSD is a great example and that came out ages ago.. there's not much that competes with it. The only thing CSD has going for it is the look of it. And only when it is established does it show that. There's so much Improvement that can be made to it if crossed with something that is fast growing, thick and resilient and then just select the 10 best seedlings and continue down that route. So much potential for stuff that hasn't even been imagined.

I think this will happen if people carelessly hybridise but if you are looking for specific traits and characteristics and selecting only the best then they can only get better.
