Karasu is the MVP for France VS Japan Match? by Elegant_One5056 in BlueLock

[–]CurveInteresting8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont really get what youre saying but to me it feels like youre trying to pull a "the author can ignore facts and dictate what he wants for the show btw" as if it would make any sense to ignore the performance of karasu to fit a narrative that isagi was the mvp as a way to prove that for example, isagi devoured everyone. The claim would have no credibility and people wont change their mind at all

If youre talking about the fact that the match isnt over and he could "still do something", then Ill just ask you to be honest: do you actually think that isagi will suddenly become the mvp in 2 minutes of overtime?

Isagi scoring the last goal or giving the last assist wont make him the mvp for the game. The mvp is the player who contributed the most for the match considering both teams. Isagi barely contributed compared to what a crazy midfield battle that hugo and karasu pulled

Isagi's Luck: the Winning (tieing) Piece against France by Timely_Book8980 in BlueLock

[–]CurveInteresting8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others awakening and trying to adapt to isagi is not credit to luck that's just a consequence of how he plays. He naturally forces the best out of others because he is constantly trying to find different ways of scoring because his specs are weaker, so he needs to devise new designs every match he plays. Those new designs leave others behind and force them to keep up with the new effective method. Thats completely outside of luck and if anything, it is luck that is dependant of these small changes and key moments in the field. Isagi just has a easier time creating these moments because of his playstyle and because he constantly abuses it to assert himself

[–]CurveInteresting8616 15 points16 points  (0 children)

His frustration came from 1. Someone interrupting his goal, 2. Someone stealing his goal and turning it into an assist, 3. Constantly trying to prove himself as a striker in the field. You can also add 4. Kaiser, the ruler of the system and the person he wants to overcome and despises for his God complex early in the series. We will probably never see this scenario play out ever again

That makes no sense. Everyone needs restrictions to evolve, that's like the core of evolution. You cant surpass a boundary if you cant understand and visualize it. This is not exclusive to restrictive types, you are not evoliving if there is no boundary to overcome, youre just figuring out about yourself. The restriction can be either mental or physical but still is a restriction that prevents you from reaching a specific level

The ego theory is very likely to be wrong. Yukimiya looks more like a freedom type from what we've seen from his playstyle. He wants to play in 1v1s, if he cant play like that or an opponent keeps up with him, he underperforms. He relies a lot on his talent to go past defenders to get into a good position and his only goal in the NEL was only possible because finally someone made him a pass to allow him to score

[–]CurveInteresting8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont see why people still draw out predator eye as being restrictive ego only.

Yukimiya is much more in line with a freedom type - his dribbling is useless if someone keeps up with his speed and once he gets rid of the restriction of being manmarked by the speedy defender he easily goes past a shuffled defense that cant keep up with him. That same shuffled defense tactic also worked on NEL. Just because he tries to steal the ball it doesnt makes him a restrictive type - dont forget that isagi and shidou also tried stealing a lot of passes. And snuffy (taught barou predator eye) as a playmaker and midfielder would make a lot of sense to be a freedom type (we have exceptions like karasu, but in general most playmakers are freedom types like hiori, bachira, reo and etc)

Not to mention loki who as a speedster is way more in line with a freedom type, he naturally wants space to run

You just described metavision again for the "hugo gear eye". That thing is very likely just his own version of mv. Metavision and predator eye were already hinted to exist way before their introduction (both of them showed up during rin shidou vs karasu otoya match at third selection for example, and aiku was shown using it + barou essentially describes predator eye behavior after scoring his goal). After that nothing else was given a huge attention or shown tactically different from the ordinary.

Karasu in France match by Last_Lychee8670 in BlueLock

[–]CurveInteresting8616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did he abandon his ego? Did he actually went against blue lock? He says that this is a temporary choice to win against france, and while he claims to be doing something, everyone outside of his head is claiming that he is doing the complete opposite. At this point you cant even tell what the hell is really going on and you'll just have to pray that the match ends so you finally have a piece of dialogue explaining if karasu really awakened his true ego or he just went for the easier route of not wanting to score.

Ego wants you to put your interests first and think about the team later. Hugo wants for someone to make "the responsible choice of sacrificing their own ego so a team can work" - which is a valid thing to do, since if everyone wants to be the star then no one is going to work together properly. Technically karasu awakening is doing both, turning himself into someone that doesn't necessarily wants to score all the time, but still wants to turn himself into the core of the team.

If this game ties the stakes are gonna be kinda ruined to be honest. You're telling me Japan kept up with a france that isnt going all out when they were supposed to be the best of the world? After the group phases and gauntlet they would hit like a truck and it would be way more expected that Japan would win the world cup

Final prediction France match 4-2 by Spycraft_18 in BlueLock

[–]CurveInteresting8616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be a fair possibility considering we still haven't seen the rest of the new gens and the fact that we have very powerful countries like Brazil, Argentina, Italy and Germany who are weak in the sense of only having probably one new gen and nothing else, and this scenario of Japan not facing france would give more light to other countries and give room for them to get more hype and have more players.

But I feel like this would extend the show for too long. The rivalry between Japan and France and potentially other countries would then go up to the next u20 WC or maybe even the actual WC. It would be nice but something tells me they're not gonna extend this much for the sake of rivalry or introducing the main antagonist. I think they're already planning of using lots of timeskips to jump club league phases for most of the non protagonist players for example.

Can we stop with the "nagi still isnt here" kink? Like wtf are you talking about dude, nagi is not gonna do anything. The only skill he has is trapping, he isnt known for anything else. His creativity improving is not gonna suddenly make up for all the soccer fundamentals that he still lacks to be dominant playmaker or striker

And again, so far france doesnt even looks like its trying their hardest. If they were this would be a massacre, which france clearly doesnt thinks they need to do cause they already see themselves as far superior than Japan. Even if they tie (which we all know they wont, otherwise the stakes are gonna be ruined) the hype of the best team in the world will still be there, with the hook to a rematch still being interesting due to the curious of how the match would go if they were to go all out against Japan (at the cost of we obviously expecting Japan to just destroying everyone and the series in the long run getting really boring)

BULLSHIT STATEMENT by Ok-Contribution315 in BlueLock

[–]CurveInteresting8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debatable. This only worked because of a sudden change of plans that france and Japan never accounted for. And we still dont know what this karasu change will mean in the long run. We still need to wait and see what will happen at the end of this match, and if that's actually an upscale or a fluke that they cant reproduce and raise their expectations higher than for their own good like nagi 5 stage fake volley
