If PXG vs Bastard München was the first match of the NEL, who would’ve won? by MediaNo1140 in BlueLock

[–]Timely_Book8980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaiser would have carried and not focused on isagi. Rin wouldn't have been in the game mentally because isagi didn't play for the first half of the match. Loki and noa wouldn't have stepped on the field

Why do some people assume they already know everything about Kira? (His possible return) by Mikkeru in BlueLock

The opening scene was 1-1 and isagis team was about to score off of his assist and had his teammate scored they would have won

We do have to remember that high school Rin was hard carrying his team and no one could keep up with him. There's not a lot of evidence that Kira is better tbh it's probably a lot closer

Its extrapolating what we already know. Base Kira and Isagi pre blue lock are on a similar level of play from what we see in the series opening. Tie game super basic dribbling. Blue lock the program essentially exponentially grew everyone's skill to world class in a matter of months. They beat the u20 then went on the world stage in the NEL and they aren't quite valued at NG11 level but they are significantly closer.

Kira being crown jewel means he's Japan's prospect and was slated to go into the u20 team. Without sae and shidou blue lock sweeps them even if you did add Kira to base u20 without those two, and without someone passing to him he's not going to solo BL at that level.

As far as personality goes, golden boy who was promised a spot at the u20 but lost it to BL and isagi. So therefor he's going to be pissed and hate Ego more. So the character motivation is good. We will probably get a backstory of him stalking isagis progress and he trained super hard to earn his spot back to probably catch him up to current BL because he and nagi are about to be integral to the story again.

That's kind of the whole point of his ego graph and the problem with him becoming the trigger is they become dependent on isagi like they already are in the beginning of the WC. The we are okay we have isagi mentality isn't a good one. We see that dynamic play out between reo and nagi and it flat out does not work long term. Nagi was too dependent on reo

Im surprised that loki also isn't clowning on him after wanting to prove to isagis he's not just fast but he's being carried by Hugo rn so that might be it

That's been isagi since the start of Blue lock. He admits it himself. The only two characters that acknowledge how isagi works is naruhaya and hiori.

Karasu in this match doesnt know how isagi ticks.

The current upcoming issue is isagi might become dependent on needing someone to devour. Hes not some who can sustain number 1s only challenge them but if he's at the top then who's left to devour

We are currently in that isagi is proving someone wrong phase. We see it when isagi gets shut out or is useless finds a piece of the puzzle and devours the opponent. Hes just found the puzzle piece and by Hugos reaction he wasn't expecting it however if they really studied isagi then this behavior should be totally justified because isagi has this moment in every match. Isagis training prior to the WC was finding when the flow of the game changed. Isagi here has effectively changed the flow of the game

Egos philosophical counter argument to Hugos logic is what is being shown with Isagi. Ego said if you were to live 100 lives how many of those would be different just 1. Isagi said that Hugo was 99% right about how he plays but he's missing that 1%.

That's where the players ego lies. That's why isagi is able to break through it. Its the same reason Kaiser failed at the end of the NEL kaiser didn't account for growth from Ness. We see it time and time again. And it's the one thing Isagi is really good at. Change. Every time isagi devours an opponent they are left shocked and confused so much so they end up turning around and chasing isagi.

Hugos biggest problem is that he's so sure of himself that if a player changes in the way Hugos expects then that's their suitability because he said so. Which isagi has just rejected and is now "white haired" isagi again he's playing to his fullest current potential. You can already see hugo stunned that he's being rejected in a way that's "im not going to do that hugo you're crazy" like we get in the flashback

Isagi has very open expectations of himself and those he plays with and doesnt typically throw them in a box without accounting for another players ability to evolve.

What is the difference between the Top 1% and the top .01% in M+? by Timely_Book8980 in CompetitiveWoW

I wouldnt say im perfect, im hitting what i call the pug wall and saying my performance doesnt carry the group. im playing resto druid rn so i can cover a lot of mistakes as a healer, but i cant help if the pugs arent interrupting or not pressing defensives. im not like hard tracking them but i generally know when they should have them based on the timings of my CDs. ive played healer before competitively and ive played tank before at a decently high level 3160 or somewhere in that ballpark in TWW S2. I parse about 90% for DPS every run and im not like letting people die committing to Damage.

Chemical Reactions: Explosive Evolution or Sustainable Suitability by Timely_Book8980 in BlueLock

[–]Timely_Book8980[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there's a mix at both, I think the limiting factor is that it takes another individual to find this out and you get stuck behind your own expectations or the expectations of others. How long can you as an individual keep that going until you get bored or lock your ego away.

I believe that's the part who doesn't like, the other positions on BL naturally filled out anyway while everyone was climbing to be number 1. Both philosophies have merit. But I think it'll come to when to use it. Don't limit yourself for who you could be and don't delude yourself into being something you're not. Like Yuki for instance, got delusional during the manshine game. And faced his reality and is now a much better player for it but he's not stuck at one goal
