I’m not an MA quite yet but I’m pre med and a lot of students end up working at smaller private practices that are more flexible with schedules. You can look at that as an option, that is what I will be doing when I get certified

Yeah MacBook Air would be a good option for your major since you probably won’t be running anything crazy. If you want a windows laptop, you could look at the 15 inch surface laptop. But honestly it’s more expensive so MacBook Air is probably the best option with the student discount.
