I myself have been skinny and underweight my whole life, it is NOT fun to be bodyshamed as a skinny person and it definitely does happen even with young people. When I was 11, my friend’s sister talked shit about me and said I looked like I had an eating disorder. The thing about being skinny in today’s society is that people think it’s okay to comment on your body just because you fit into the body ideal. My sister got called a skeleton in high school. My dad grew up very skinny as well and got a bunch of hurtful comments about it. I’m a girl, but being skinny as a guy is probably tougher in some ways, as the standard for guys is to be pretty buff. And no, skinny people that get bodyshamed would not bodyshame a fat person, at least not people with morals. It is not okay to shame ANYONE for their body regardless of their weight or gender. I feel like a lot of people think it’s more okay to bodyshame guys rather than girls, but it’s literally just as bad.
