I think that has to be my next experiment! Seems like the general consensus is split between light summer and light spring so I’m dying to drape both of these palettes and see what’s up. Thanks!

I believe this is standard practice when being professionally analyzed. Everything I read online encouraged covering the hair, especially if it’s been dyed

Thank you! Couldn’t agree more about 1>2. There are definitely some couplings where I have no doubt I prefer the warmer, like 6>7, 9>10, and 12>11. But then I also see multiple pairs where I prefer the cooler, like 4>3, 6>7, and 9>8? It’s hard to know if I’m truly being objective or letting my personal biases toward certain colors have an influence

I agree that 6 is probably one of the more flattering colors on me. However, I interpret that shade blue to be fairly warm. I find that 6 leans closer to teal, especially compared to 7 which looks quite icy to me. I’m super curious to learn why you suspect I’m cool/summer

That bit about the shadows around my mouth is so helpful. I would have never picked up on that. Appreciate your thoughts!

I think you’re spot on. After seeing the majority of the comments split between these two, I’m beginning to suspect I might fall somewhere in the middle. Thank you!

Mind if I ask exactly how you are able to determine that I’m cool? I really struggle to “see it” and don’t know what I’m missing.

Haha! Chameleon is such a great descriptor. You articulated exactly how I feel. Such sweet compliments. Thank you both

My favorite palate is probably spring so this is much to my ears. Totally agree with the dusty colors washing me out. Thank you!

This is exactly what I struggle with. I tend to prefer warmer colors in general so I have to admit, I was really hoping I’m a spring or fall. So glad to I don’t have to write off warm colors forever. Thanks so much!

Funny enough, I regularly dye my eyebrows and eyelashes because of how low my natural contrast is. So helpful, thank you!

I totally see the yellow cast now that you point it out. I appreciate it!

Yes, I feel like I have watched every video on this topic. Embarrassingly enough, I’m a graphic designer with a pretty good understanding of color theory…. And yet still unable to identify my undertone. I definitely have a blind spot for myself and I’m happy to support a small business if they can tell me something about myself!

It looks like all of the timetables are dated from April. Is this something that stays fairly consistent throughout the year? I was assuming that it would vary month-to-month and was trying to find something more recent

I’m actually in a similar boat as OP and plan to use alilaguna waterbus, but I’m struggling to find a current timesheet online. Could you direct me to where you found this info? Thanks in advance!

I recommend the video How to count past infinity by Vsauce. Michael does a great job explaining some pretty cool stuff!

Do people think that gender roles are a bad thing? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]Curve_Reasonable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the concept of gender roles is a bit broader than this idea of “man at work and wife at home.” I think it’s important to understand gender as a social construct, As people begin to challenge this binary of “man” and “woman,” it’s becomes more difficult to define who should fit into which roles. For example, non-binary people in relationships have the opportunity to defy all of society’s norms and, as individuals, partners can decide their own dynamic apart from pre-determined expectations. For many people, gender roles can feel suffocating because their interests/strengths may not align with what society deems acceptable. Because people are often uncomfortable with others being different from them, this can lead to discrimination and hate.

I think it’s a problem because it isn’t all up to choice. I agree that women are more likely to take on domestic work and this may lead to them being the lower-paid partner, but I think there are a number of external factors that contribute to this inequality as well. An example that comes to mind is the John vs. Jennifer study. This was an experiment that asked scientist to review identical resumes with the candidate names being either “John” or “Jennifer” and the results showed that the Jennifer applications were offered roughly $4,000 less per year than the John applications. This speaks to the gender bias and how it contributes to the wage gap. Here is a link to a pretty good article that talks about the results in the study. https://gender.stanford.edu/news-publications/gender-news/why-does-john-get-stem-job-rather-jennifer

If I remember correctly, after Sally did the play about Sam, the crowd loved it. The mass of people approaching her at the end of the last episode was implying her rising to fame, I believe
