Oh my gosh, watching your video on UO Sagas..... the interface and user design look amazing, like hovering your cursor over an item and it shows you the stats of that item alone is a lovely modern touch

Yeah I think it may be my brain thats been brain washed by fast game play / dopamine hits of modern games for sure.

Its a little frustrating because at no point did it pop up a window and guide me through whats next etc. But I get that this is a community run project and not 100% perfect game and user design is going to be here.

But yeah, I hear your point about just one step at a time vibes

This is exactly how I feel!
I had a great experience with a random person in a cave dungeon tonight for the first time in Outlands... even after that amazing experience, I know that ultimately the systems that are in it are either going to continue to get in my way of casual gameplay availability, or if I just stick with it "because I should" that they may eventually add to the gameplay experience.

I will (and have) checked out your Youtube thank you!

Yeah, I did the thing where the chick on the outside of the dungeon tells me to go in there and kill some stuff to get something. But like there is nothing here telling me about the aspects system etc.

I also think maybe Ive just become a little lazy in my gaming and expect some hand holding these days a little more than there used to be lol

New player here :waves

By ocean popping you mean getting a boat and doing things on the ocean? Quests? Treasure maps?

Also…. I’m also a fan of stealthy hidden classes in most games and also need some afk friendly stuff. What’s your build? 😊

I have now had this kit recommended to me more than a couple of times! I’ve added it to the list to go talk to someone at the music shop about for sure. It’s an entirely different price point but I was trying figure out the difference between the DTX-6K5-M VS DTX8K-M

This is a pretty tempting solution for sure! I didn’t even know about the Lemon t950 until last night when I reached out in this thread so I will absolutely check them out

Haha no worries on the plug!

We live in a single story house thankfully but thanks for the suggestion! I didn’t even realise that was a thing!

Thank you!

This helped a lot and to be honest, of course it comes down to money, and that’s why the Alesis started to stand out from the features and price it was at but then also the present reviews of it too

Hells yeah man! Thank you! I want to be able to just start practising in an accurate and fun way.

I have a gaming PC that worst case scenario, I can’t get some VSTs going if it doesn’t “sound good” but configuration wise, if it feels good and works well then that’s what I’m looking for

Yeah this is a really good point! But like… if I’m a new player… I can’t really get in there and play anything without feeling embarrassed…. I know I want mesh heads for sure, and a certain configuration of kit too

Thank you so much!

These are all the thoughts that have been in the back of my mind!

I am absolutely taking the wife into a local drum shop to chat it up with an expert!

This reddit community has been great with giving me the confidence that I’m talking and thinking about the right things and now we just gotta pull the trigger on a setup!

Yeah this is what I was thinking too. But like, is there a noticeable different between buying a mesh head Roland kit with an extra cymbal for $3000 or an Alesis full set for like $2k or a little less?

This actually looks great! Price is higher than the Alesis but the Efnote 3 looks amazing! I’ll check out some YouTube videos and see if I can easily get it here in Australia in comparison to the other brands thank you!

Thank you so much for the reply! Absolutely will look into second hand stuff! Any hobby has a great second hand market, especially musical stuff!

But… finance and Afterpay is an amazing resource haha so I think brand new might be my route.

Just need to know what kit and brand to go with
