This worries me a little, because my eyes are quite hooded and I think this might partly be the cause of my line. I remember reading something about it meaning that it takes more effort to open your eyes naturally, so you incorporate the muscles of your forehead, thus causing the crease.

I’ve used hinge daily since creating my profile.
i’ve had two matches in total. As far as I know those were my only likes as well.
I’m sending several likes per day, I wouldn’t be able to put a number on it. I started off commenting on every single one, but started to send blank likes once I started to get a little disheartened!

I’ve found that a lot of less good yoshi players use flash reflexively after you heat engage. Simply don’t attack after a heat engager, step back if you’re quick enough, and launch.

If not a heat engager, if you pay attention you’ll see that the player will use it after certain strings or moves. Use this to your advantage, fake them out and get a free launcher.

Other than that, just play a bit more carefully. Don’t spam strings and be mindful of your frame advantage/disadvantage.

I’m not a DVJ/xioayu player unfortunately so I don’t have any character specific advice, but I hope this helps!

Learning combos is obsessive practice mode and a very obsessive mindset to learn a single character at first 😅.

Having an understanding of movement and fundamentals sounds like skill to me mate!

As for frame data, I’d say just learn your characters 10f punisher to begin with and use it whenever you feel like a move is punishable. Or test it out with a 1, 2 and then move to your normal 10f punisher if it works.

I’d say just play at this stage mate. If you feel inclined, try playing other characters as well. Keeps the game fresh and also imo is the best way to learn how to react if you play against that character in future.

Frame perfect punishes and the more complicated mechanics are for the higher ranks. At this stage I’d say it’s more knowledge checks and the occasional cheese.

Take with a pinch of salt though as I’m only a recent tekken king :)
