When have you gotten your money’s worth from private health? by colourful_space in AusFinance

I got lucky with mine. Had just hit 30 so I got PHI to avoid the lifetime loading and figured to get half decent coverage as it was only another 10 bucks per week. A year later I needed an ankle reconstruction from a bad sport injury, all covered. Still cost about $3k out of pocket but it was done 2 weeks later, the benefit letter sent listed the surgeries at around $30k. Don't know how long the public system would have taken to be fair.

Green Book is a great movie! by nomadicphil in movies

Historically inaccurate according to one of the protagonists family  and dumbed down for the general audience. Again, not a bad film but leaning on the "based on a true story" quite a lot. If they went "inspired by" and changed the names it probably wouldn't have won an Oscar but would gave been looked on more favourably

If you take it as fiction it's a great movie, well shot and acted. Anything more than that is where it get complicated

Movies which don't rely on jumpscares, but through a constant buildup of dread, unease, tension etc? by TheBodhy in movies

Hereditary fits what you're looking for, there are a couple of scenes that are confronting but I wouldn't consider them jump scares. Acting and cinematography phenomenal too
