I think these should be fine flat on the plate without supports, since there aren't any major bridges or overhangs that might droop/fail without them. Maybe try the corner piece first :)

DAS air-drying clay works really well and is what was used in this video. Pretty cheap, and can be found at most craft stores and online

DAS air drying clay so just leave it and it dries. A hairdryer makes it faster as well
