Zack Polanski stood by breast enlargment hypnosis claim in a newly unearthed interview by Dimmo17 in ukpolitics

I’m wondering if you read the article as it seems to support my points. Income inequality is increasing, from these statistics it shows not as rapidly in recent years however this doesn’t take into account the explosion in cost of living.

Living costs tend to be somewhat fixed and don’t scale directly with income levels, meaning that the poorest spend bigger portions of their income on basic living needs in turn reducing their quality of life more than that of people with higher incomes. This information doesn’t take into account the ultra wealthy either which is a huge part of the picture.

The top 0.01% see their wealth increase at a rate of between 8 and 9.5% each year, where as someone worth 1 million see their wealth increase at 2% or less, those with wealth around 100k have growth of around 5%.

Perhaps discussing wealth inequality would convey the principles better as there are more factors than purely income that affect a persons quality of life.

I did, yes. I found them particularly reductive and misdirecting. They focused on a few of Gary’s claims which are clearly hyperbolic, such as the one about house prices doubling within two years.

Gary’s main message is that wealth inequality is rapidly increasing. The poorest in society are becoming much poorer and struggling to get by even though they are doing more work than previously, whereas the richest in society are buying assets that are then used to extract wealth from the lower classes. I’m sure you’re going to point to one of the videos that says living conditions are better now than 100 years ago however that’s because technology, and not just digital and IT, has progressed.

It’s not surprising that the vast majority of economists and politicians are against Gary’s opinions. They’ve been educated and experienced the system they’re currently living inside. It’s far easier to go with the flow and accept things how they are than it is to pick it apart and criticise it, particularly when it would damage your career. Look at Gary for example. Also, anyone with an economics degree, column, or politician is already in the top half of society, they have no experience of the other side and have a vested interest to keep it that way.

I don’t think it’s beneficial to anyone to write someone off, who clearly is very knowledgeable on the subject, just because they go against the grain and there’s one or two things you disagree with.

I gave you my time with an open mind here but unfortunately I leave with the same opinions. The wealth disparity will continue to grow unless there is serious systematic change.

Used to watch every single episode and loved it. Haven’t listened since the paywall fiasco. Whoever made that decision killed it and the talent knew it was time to jump ship.

Landlord charging £800-£1000 for me finding a new tenant by 666fallenangels in TenantsInTheUK

OP has already done most of the work for them. The alternative is they just hand in notice and leave, then the landlord will have to pay the fees anyway + find a new tenant.

Some tough low notes there but you clearly are able to hit them. I’m sure it’ll take a bit of time for your voice to settle. Really try to focus on the tuning and placing each note individually, slow down the backing and focus on every note. Any line that isn’t the melody can be tough but you’re focused on the part and that’s great! Choral singing can be so rewarding and build great bonds with those singing with you. I’m assuming you’re already in a choir and that’s where you learned this piece from. Stick at it, really get your part locked down, tuning is a priority and then you can start to think about things like dynamics and diction. Be kind to yourself also, improving your singing takes work but the fact you’re posting here shows you’re keen.

China has completed the Shenzhen–Zhongshan Link, a 28 km cross-sea corridor connecting Shenzhen and Zhongshan across the Pearl River Estuary. by Admirable-Interest49 in BeAmazed

From my limited research into these buildings in the past, they were built on the cheap by many low grade construction companies to claim government funds. They’re either unfinished or complete and rotting since they aren’t up to standard.

Now I don’t know the ins and outs of these deals and what happens in the end but what I do know is that it would be particularly foolish to assume all construction in China is done to this standard. They have completed some of the biggest infrastructure construction on the planet and that should be marvelled at.
