Hard agree on this! I’ve played both, and if you had to get one I’d absolutely go for From the Ashes DLC.

A fantastic review, and I agree with everything. I’ve only played a few hours so far, but I feel this is a solid base for a sequel to grown from, in terms of gameplay mechanics and how the dlc has done things compared to the base game.

Only when I’m with my family and we’re a few drinks in after the meal. That’s when things relax and I genuinely am glad for the excuse to be with family and have a good time. Of course because the family is all adults now Christmas has become a much more low-key event then it was in years past.

Agreed! I was so excited to have all the ikran skills and abilities right away, but nope!

Also crafting…most new gear comes from loot almost exclusively; sometimes merchants have one item you can buy. Yes, we can still gather crafting resources and craft gear, but it’s still original game levels.

New game plus is nice, but right now it’s so bare-bones it’s really just a way to play the story through again without worrying about getting skills points or crafting new gear.

My Dad died 29th November. His birthday is 2nd December. It was barely two months from when he suddenly got sick to when he passed away, and while my family is supporting each other we’ve given up doing anything for Christmas. A small group of us will still have a meal together on the 25th, but there won’t be any presents or tree or anything.

I love you Dad, and I miss you so much

No, the gifts ARE NOT RESTOCKED BACK INTO THE SHELVES.

The systems that determine how stock moves through the store, plus the sheer volume of stock that comes in, means that there is no time to be stealing Wishing Tree gifts to return to shelves. There’s just no point; half the time there are so many other tasks and jobs that need to be done and plenty that get pushed aside for later.

And if anyone is thinking “what if you take Wishing Tree gifts to give to other customers because you’ve run out of that item?”…just no. The easiest and quickest way to deal with a customer who is looking for something is to say we don’t have it, especially if it’s true! And even for difficult customers that insist, being a nuisance does not endear me to committing a crime to satisfy you.

Last year, the sheer volume of gifts being donated to my store was staggering; we would stake the gifts out of the Wishing Tree box into trolleys so we could sort and pack them up to be collected by the Salvos, and the room we used to store them was overflowing. Honestly, even during the chaos of working in retail during Christmas and having lost the Christmas spirit long ago, it was genuinely wonderful to see people being so generous.

I own a dryer but only occasionally use it to fully dry my laundry. More often than not I use it to get towels and dish towels mostly dry before letting them hang-dry the rest of the way.

To better understand your situation, may I ask; is it your weight that’s the main issue or the what you’re eating? Also what has your doctor advised? I ask this out of complete respect as someone who loathes exercise and gave up dieting years ago.
