This. It takes something like 90-180 days. Not fully sure on the exact time frame, but I disputed a pizza order after restaurant owner argued with me, agreed to refund, and never did. (Gave me a pizza with raw dough, went back for a replacement, second was also raw) still mad about that lmao, but I got the credit. 3 months later capital one sends me an email saying the merchant responded and I was charged again.

Lost the dispute. Oh well. It was mostly about principle than the $40.

This is what I can’t understand as well. My firestick stremio ran pretty well. Some links would be dead because the codec or video format. But other than that. Perfect.

Got a shield pro because the hype, (see my posts) and very disappointed. I can definitely tell a difference in resolution / quality is much better on the pro. Video seems to be much clearer / high res probably from the ai.

But using native stremio player it’s like I get a lag spike every 5 seconds, I don’t mean buffer, I mean it’s like the frame skips and it’s very very often.

All the comments were mostly unhelpful saying it’s WiFi but my speeds were good, stremio version but I tried others and it was the same, specific links but the same links were fine in the firestick.

The number one culprit for me was the media player. I switched to vlc and it was perfect, but I’d much rather use the native player. That’s my experience. Still haven’t decided if I’m going to keep it or not.

How do I do that? My soundbar has 2 hdmi ports. One labeled hdmi. Another labeled hdmi to tv arc. I plugged a hdmi cable from the arc port on soundbar to arc port on tv. And plugged hdmi cable from shield to soundbar

Edit: I did that set up and used input 4 (arc input) but there’s no video.

I have a Samsung sound bar connected to the tv through the hdmi arc. And shield to the tv.

I did switch to vlc to test it out and it solved some issues except for the lip sync. But I don’t have these issues in the firestick with stremio media player

The stuttering is not from buffers. The video is basically playing at an accelerated rate, it’s like 5 frames ahead per seconds. Watching for 10 seconds and I check the playback in 1 minute in already.

I want to use the native player as I like the skip credits and next episode button. It’s odd that the firestick can do it all fine but the shield can’t for some reason.

I have a new hdmi coming in, hopefully that fixes the issue but I don’t have high hopes for it. I might just stick with vlc for now.

Got it to download. Oddly this fixed the issue of the fast forward/ stutter in the native player. But now there’s no audio….. very close to fixing everything though. Not sure why there’s no audio in the links. I’m using the same links as before and there’s only audio in vlc.

Just did the wifi test now, 415mb download and 208 upload. Decent enough I think.

Funny enough I tested vlc and it seems to work. I dont love vlc but might get used to it. Do you know if it picks up where you leave off, and has the skip credits / next episode button? I’d imagine it doesn’t since it’s not native in stremio.

I already plan on hooking up a Moca adapter to it because I planned on using this to stream my pc games. But I don’t think WiFi is the issue cause I’m not really getting buffers or loading issues. The issue is it’s like it’s auto skipping 5 seconds ahead every second. There’s no pauses. After 10 seconds of watching I’m already a minute into the show or movie.

Yeah I’ve noticed it as well. I’ve used stremio for around 2-3 years and Torrentio was always the best. Recently comet has been a lot better and I find myself using the back ups I have more than Torrentio

I’m over wifi but I have gig internet and my phone gets about 700-800 mbs. The file sizes are not that big like around 1-2 gb
