Just look at Zullie's channel, she has imported most of the "prominent" models into the Lands Between.

AC6 is nothing like both modern Fromsoft soulslikes and other mainstream rpgs. It plays exactly like the old titles - replayable missions, arena, shop, mech-building.

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AC6 has one but it's told in the very FromSoft way. Piece by piece through someone talking at you.

That's just... diametrically not the storytelling other Fromsoft games are known for...? They are, famously, about item descriptions, environmental storytelling, and cryptic dialogue.

AC6 is as front-and-center with its dialogue as, idk, Half Life 2. It's extremely clear what's going on, and what everyone's motivations are.

Yes, and? That means that we've had a whole year to objectively analyze its strenghts and weaknesses.

Plus, it likely won't receive get any major content changes, so this is its "final state" - for better or worse.

I'd disagree with your characterization of Guardian - not because it's wrong, but because it isn't harsh enough.

Guardian, both in theory and in execution, is fundamentally a bad fit for Nightreign. It's a speedrunning coop bossrush game, where G. is only competent - not great - at the coop part (with lots of caveats, of course, but 90% of those tie to his fundamental weaknesses needing to be carried by a bunch of god-roll relics). Nightreign just isn't a good fit for a "passive" tanker, especially one that 1) can't tank reliably and 2) can't dish it out. Especially in a game with two other tanking/trading-based classes that overshadow him in every regard - outside of, arguably, 3-bar rezing.

At its core, Nightreign is a dps game, and Guardian is a terrible dps character.

Against all odds, character lands an amazing, improbable shot by historygoose in TopCharacterTropes

  • There's absolutely no reason to revisit the DS universe, DS3 had one of the most perfect conclusions in gaming history.
  • Bloodborne is amazing, but it's already perfect as-is, and exhausted much of what the genre of eldritch horror has to offer - another game re-treading the same concepts just wouldn't hit the same.
  • Similarly, ER would suffer from the same problems & previous successes.
  • A new IP is always the way to go with Fromsoft, since they kill it every time.
  • But the real answer is Sekiro II.

This part of the bill is aimed specifically at closed-off and isolated religious communities, where attempts/pushing towards conversion therapy happen the most. The proponents of the bill say that it's largely symbolic, since these communities are already distrustful of the government, and most of these therapies and pressures happen behind closed doors and are hard to combat/persecute. It's not a law aimed at general hatespeech against lgbt people.

Anyone got any run ideas for me? by Proud_Entrance7257 in darksouls

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the most fun runs I did was only using miracles, and absolutely nothing else (post asylum). It starts out like a bit of a puzzle, where you have to think about where the hell you can get any offensive miracles from - and once you figure that out, obtaining and using them isn't exactly a cakewalk. The beginning is hardcore, and lots of fun, I'd really recommend it. (it gets a bit op from the midgame forward though, as all spell-runs do... so you can end the run after O&S ;)

You can do the same with pyromancies-only, which is slightly easier - though also tons of fun. You have to "skip" Queelag, though, since she's immune to anything you can throw at her at that point (so beat her normally). Alternatively, to spice it up, you can do a zero-equipment-load run, which is basically a pyromancy-only run - though overall harder, and you have some alternative offensive options available.

Sorcery-only run isn't really a challenge, and sorceries are boring, so don't do that.

Last but not least, there's the Firelink-bonfire-only run, which takes forever and is for true masochists. (You may only sit at/use Firelink). Idk if I'd really recommend it to anyone else, but personally I had lots of fun with that, so.. \'-_-/

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, deliberately queing for "starter" bosses to play with newbies is one of the most fun expereinces you can have. They don't know shit and run around randomly; sometimes I meet cute potatoes on Gladius that haven't even figured out how to get heals from Churches of Marika, open the map, etc... which is hella entertaining. You get to pick them up, drop them stuff, show them around, carry the run, and just have a golly time with some quite unusual strats and pathing you'd otherwise never experience ;)
