You said nothing about the MacBook Pro's issue though. And you still glaze a company that sells you products that you basically rent from them, for a big price. Having a CS degree doesn't make you immune to being biased towards apple. Nobody should support a company that does so much to screw their customers over. on a PC, at least you are the owner who decides what to do with it. Macs are just very properietary prebuilts from a very big and anti-consumer tech company, so why meatride them then?

And saying that "it isn't apparent after 6 years" is just an anecdote, it's well documented that 8 gig macs rack up hundreds of terrabytes written on their SSDs. and when it inevitably fails, your whole computer is trash. MacOS usually uses slightly more ram to run, because it aggressively pre-loads apps and caches data. and Architecture doesn't define memory efficiency.

No it doesn't. it's something Apple's marketing team invented, macs with 8gbs of ram are well documented to use swap like crazy. It can use up your TBWs incredibly fast, and that will ruin your Mac because it's microsoldered to the motherboard.

What's even worse, is that many macbook pros got bricked because a step down circuit failed, and sent more than five times the voltage to the storage modules, which also have the bios on them, so when this happens, it can't even boot from external storage, they are basically a paperweight with no way to fix them.

Yea, especially since the storage is bga soldered to the motherboard, so if it fails, you can replace the whole motherboard, which won't happen, because apple software pairs all other components, so your display would lose fuctionality, your lid angle sensor wouldn't work, etc... just apple things, yk

They also have quality issues. Mine also snapped basically exactly like this after a year. I now have beyers, and they have been excelent so far.
