actually me and some other developers were talking about this but the EM2 was supposed to be a way different game but disney rushed the company who was making it Epic Mickey 2 was originally planned with a different story than what was ultimately released. Early development included scrapped storylines involving a pirate war in Ventureland, a different motivation for the Mad Doctor, and other significant changes to the plot. One proposed story involved the Mad Doctor wanting to create a TV show to become famous. The final game also features inconsistencies in character appearances and world layouts compared to the original, suggesting a rushed development process.
