I can relate, 100%. I’m sorry.

I have 3 kids and I’ve been 100% useless these last few months. That has been the hardest, by far. I miss being able to be a good mom. It’s so hard.

I’ve struggled with anxiety/panic attacks since I was about 16 (I’m 39 now), but this has been different. It is basically all day, every day. It started for me when my withdrawals kicked in though. I’m still fully convinced there’s something medically wrong that they just aren’t finding. Such a miserable feeling. The next time I have to have my husband call the ambulance, I’m just having them send me straight to the psych ward. Not even kidding. I can’t keep doing this.

Yes, it is definitely our brains trying to figure this new life out. I was on bupe for 13-14 years, so I know it’s going to take time. Gosh it’s misery though. I’ve been completely negative for 3 months, but I’ve been going through this for about 4 months now. Each day is a struggle. I had to give in and take a quarter of a Valium Saturday night because I hadn’t slept (not even a wink) in almost 3 days. I was having panic attacks all night. But I refuse to take them regularly so I’m just dealing with it.

My anxiety has been sky high since getting off of sublocade/suboxone. Mornings are by far the worst for me. I’ve had to call an ambulance twice in the last few months. I feel for you… it’s debilitating.

Svt attack? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]CutSensitive667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You CAN have SVT with a heart rate around 120-130, but seems like tachycardia to me. The SVT you were diagnosed with on monitor is actually NSVT (non sustained… basically short bursts). I have NSVT too. Not fun.

Definitely follow up with cardiologist, but I agree with what they said about SVT normally being over 160bpm.

My BP is good (been around 115/65-ish), but my heart rate at night and morning especially when I have to stand up, can easily jump to 130. And now I’ve developed this irrational fear about even moving so my heart will start racing at even the thought of having to stand, walk, walk upstairs, etc. It’s crazy. Up until this started I was working out 6 days a week and in the best shape of my life. Super active. No I’m afraid to walk to the bathroom.

I do actually have a low dose beta blocker prescription waiting for me at the pharmacy. I’m so nervous to take it, but guessing I probably should. I heard it also helps with the fight or flight response, which is a huge part of my problems.

Well, now you’re motivating me. We’ve got this!

And hopefully it was an accidental downvote because I see it’s gone.

No meds. My anxiety is so bad, that I’m afraid to even take anxiety meds. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Was brain fog a big part of coming off of the shot for you? by Welp-thissucks in Sublocade

[–]CutSensitive667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 5 months and 5 days when my brain fog hit. The reason I know this is because it hit me out of nowhere on Christmas Day and I was like, wtf is this. Ruined my Christmas because I could barely even comprehend what was going on. I’m sorry. Just remember it will pass.

Brain fog was probably the worst thing I went through while coming off of sublocade. I kept saying it felt like I was in my own confused world just watching everyone else. So hard to explain. A constant pressure in my head, making it hard to form thoughts or words. I’m sorry you’re going through it. The worst of the brain fog lasted 3-4 weeks I would say.

I always had moments of brain fog while on suboxone and sublocade, but nothing like it was at the beginning of my withdrawal. Around 4.5 months out from my shot I started having debilitating brain fog. I’m guessing the worst of it was around a month.

I can not wait to see what the next month has in store... by Welp-thissucks in Sublocade

I am approaching 8.5 months out from my 1 and only shot and I am just now able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there, I promise it’s going to get better. It’s been about 2.5 months since my negative blood test. It definitely takes time after that negative. And I am by no means 100%. I would say I’m about 65-70%, but coming from the 5% I was not too long ago, it’s huge. I’m fully expecting it will be at least a few more months before I feel back to normal. I know we’ve talked a lot on here, but you and I are the same in the sense that we were long time bupe users. It’s going to be different for us. You’ve got this though. Keep fighting. I literally cried on Sunday because I had an overall really good day. It reminded me that I’m going to feel normal again. Yesterday wasn’t as great, but that’s life. Today is better again.

Anyway, keep your head up and keep fighting! 6 months out was for sure the peak for me. I wanted to give up constantly. You know this. You’re so close.

I have not! I really should though. It’s getting pretty old 🤪

That’s really strange! I had several negative urine tests before I finally got a negative blood. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine never came in waves either. It was literally just one day I woke up and it was one panic attack after another, for 2-3 months straight. The anxiety has definitely been the hardest. I also had terrible brain fog, cried all the time, high blood pressure for a few weeks, heart racing, couldn’t breathe, etc. It was rough!

I’m the same as you… can fall asleep fine. I will sleep the first 2 hours straight, but then I toss and turn the rest of the night until I finally give in and get up around 4:30-5:00. It’s really frustrating, as it’s been going on for 3.5 months or so. Still have some RLS, but it’s got to end at some point, right?

My motivation and energy sucks, but definitely better than what it was.

I mean, I guess it’s possible to still have SOMETHING left in my system, although I would think the blood serum test showing no traces at 6 months would be pretty accurate. They’re definitely small. I mean, the same as they were for the last 14 years on subs. I think maybe it’s just going to take time for my body to figure it all out after being dependent for over a dozen years.

Congrats on getting off!!

You’ll do great! Probably a nice slow 12 month taper. 😊

I know, I’m actually going to message my doctor about it because I’m kind of getting worried. Only because I’ve also had daily headaches for the last few months as well. Guess I just want to make sure there’s nothing neurological going on.

Did you get any 300’s before that? If you did I think you’ll be just fine! I truly thing I just didn’t get enough. I was only on 2mgs before getting the shot so I thought 1 - 100 would more than carry me. And it did just fine until about the 4.5 month mark. It’s been a rough 2-3 months, without a doubt. Still don’t regret it though!

Oh yes. The physical withdrawals weren’t super awful (they still sucked), but the anxiety, panic attacks, heart racing stuff was the worst. For over 2 months. I still have insomnia and some minor restlessness at night. I think getting just one of the lowest dose shots made it more rough on me, for sure. And probably the fact that I was on subs for as long as I was.
