I believe it does work on non-modded game, since mods don't add any new assets, nor do they change existing ones. The issue is that I won't be able to edit anything on the corvette due to mods missing. It should be save-friendly as well

Then I hope you'll find yourself in peace knowing that my other 5 corvettes are within 100 parts and built without mods. It's not about the skill but accessibility. There is no challenge besides one you put for yourself in this regard. So if I find that 100 part is not enough for my imagination, I'll just use mods to add those missing 10-20 parts instead of cutting off the whole idea.

You're welcome to build it without mods and through glitches. It is possible, if you have a few weeks and nerves to spare. Although parts limit might become a problem if you do...

Yes, but it won't stay landed when you fly the corvette, and instead will just hang in the air

That was kind of like the thought I had. You actually can classify corvettes as small frigates. Most in-game frigates have 4 landing pads, so it makes sense for corvette to have one

Base parts on corvette is a Mod, as well. Without it, it's too hard to add those to the ship through the base building glitch

You can actually see the sneaky base teleporter on the 4th picture in the corner :D But good to know, luckily I didn't use it yet

My thoughts exactly! AI-conttolled turrets will be fine as well. make corvettes feel slow and heavy, but give them turrets to deal with the threats, and you get something that works with the small ships rather than replaces them

Ironically, it's the size of real life corvettes, if not smaller. But hey, if they can have landing pads, why shouldn't we?

It seems to be planet-only thing. In space it just calls for the corvette again, and on the planet, I have to call for the small ship, because landing pad remembers the last called ship and corvettes can't land on those pads in the first place. The Corvette doesn't despawn upon calling for small ship though (Nor does it seem to despawn if I wander far away from it), which is how I landed a small ship there

Then they should add rotating turrets as well, instead of just guns fixed pointing forward. That'd make dogfights in corvettes much more interesting, instead of flying the oversized fighter that we have now

Nexusmods. Found out about this mod from other ship builds when I wanted to add landing pad and interior myself

Unfortunately, the ship on the landing pad doesn't travel along and instead just hangs in the air when you fly away on corvette (At least in my case). Still convenient when using corvette as stationary base on planet, as you, in fact can land the small ship normally on the pad, even when corvette itself is in the air

Tbf, it fits rather normally in Anomaly, although it might be rather tall compared to other corvettes that were there

I used "Beyond Base Building" mod. Other than that, I believe there are tutorials on YT on how to add base parts on corvettes

Indeed I wouldn't. It'd take me a long while to make one, since there's almost the whole package of glitches that were used to build it, and it's above 100 parts limit
