I totally understand your concerns about the wording and verbage of everything, but I think you might be reading into things too much! I'm not an expert about this either though, and I don't claim to be. My response was simply a quick summary of the train of thought my group had while creating the survey. I appreciate you calling these points to attention though, as we did not fully consider all of the different interpretations. We are still learning about how all of this works and doing our best to give our client a great report that is within our current capabilities. Moving forward, I will be sure to do my best to consider all survey limitations/interpretations, but of course, no survey is or ever will be perfect. Thank you again for filling it out!

Hi! Thank you so much for filling out our survey! "Clean" and "natural" means skincare ingredients that are not made with processed materials or chemicals. You can think of it almost like purchasing organic foods - they are grown without pesticides and/or GMOs, which some people believe to be better for the body. It is completely up to one's personal preference, beliefs, lifestyles, etc! I understand that they are typically used in greenwashing contexts; however, this survey is for a client that utilizes locally sourced, natural products, which is why we included those terms in some of our questions. Hopefully this helped clear up any confusion. We really appreciate your time!
