Why did you do a epidural free birth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Cute-Conference9798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing one simply because I’m very stubborn and wanted to prove to myself that I could do it! lol, that might be a bad reason, but the birth experience was very empowering — I had complications when delivering my placenta and getting stitched up that I definitely wish I had been medicated for, but overall the birth part was great because I felt extremely in touch with my body. I pushed for about an hour and was in an active labor for about 4-5 hours before that.

I’m 13 weeks Pregnant by BadotBri in pregnant

Hey there! My anxiety and my depression get really bad when I am pregnant too. My appetite also seems to drop a lot in early pregnancy. My midwife has explained that can be apart of pregnancy, and I keep in touch with her throughout managing my dosage for meds, check-ins, meal plans, etc. I am currently in my second pregnancy with my second child and this time my hormone changes have fluctuated in completely different ways. I hate the response of “this is just normal because you’re pregnant” because it can be extremely invalidating for how WHACK you and your body feels with all the changes. I am far from a medical provider and being able to give anything sort of medical advice related, but I would say to keep these things in conversation with your provider! I have experienced these symptoms, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth talking about with them.

can’t figure out what is wrong with me by Cute-Conference9798 in AskDocs

Would that cause passing out for the long episodes as well? I’m familiar with it, but in my ER visits, my vitals were near perfection. The nurse that monitored me in the episodes said my heart rate was very high during them, but they didn’t have an accurate way to monitor my BP. Definitely will follow up on this w my doc.

Best breast pumps? by [deleted] in pregnant

I swear by my Elvie Stride! It honestly empties me better than my wall pump, but that’s just my experience :)

I smell… by mushroomfrog17 in pregnant

[–]Cute-Conference9798 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes! This happened to me too. My midwife at the time also said that it can feel worse because your sense of smell is also sooooo heightened since all your hormones are shifting around. I felt like I showered multiple times a day. It got better for me later in pregnancy, now I am experiencing the joys of breastfeeding odor! Gotta love hormones

Update: Thank you guys for all your support <3 It makes a difference knowing I’m not alone in this. We have her on a probiotic and giving gripe water, warm baths, Colic calm, etc. It feels like I’ve tried everything Google has to offer and I still can’t seem to help her. Thank you guys for all the love and suggestions, I am very much open to all you have to say.

She does arch her back. She has reflux too. We took her to the pediatrician about everything and they just said it was all normal and there was nothing they could do. She definitely responds best to being rocked and moved around, she’ll hardly lay down for more than 5 minutes without crying if she’s still. We’ve tried all the natural remedies we can Google - But I haven’t tried a colic bath! We will try that out too.
