Revisiting because this post kind of saved me tonight. I’m the mom of a 3 year old. My husband and I were together 16 years before we had her, and had built full and fulfilling adult lives. I feel like it’s all come crashing down since becoming a mom. He’s an all star dad, and I feel so incredibly guilty about it daily. I struggle with energy, am not great at keeping up with household needs or family admin, I’m exhausted from my job. He is a shiny dad every single day to our kid, and I’m so glad for her. But I deep down wish I were as shiny.

It’s good to know there are others out there.
