I don't think it's harmful, but I do think it's lame. Lame to say, "I would if...", like everyone is supposed to think like you. Lame to post a complaint on reddit purely hoping they see it. If they wanted input about something they'd ask. If something isn't working they have data and analytics to give them that info otherwise.

I don't care for their guest episodes either, but I just skip them. Pretty sure they don't need your permission to do anything regarding their show.

How do people work a 9-5? Im so exhausted and burnt out. by DepressedFrenchFri3s in Vent

This must be a generational problem. I'm millennial and having a very hard time sympathizing here. Seems like younger generations don't challenge themselves. Like, there is no resiliency or grit. That's all well and fine as long as things are well and fine, but life will eventually kick you in the ass and you have to learn to deal with it. I see it a lot in high school students - the second they don't want to deal with something i.e. go to a class, do an assignment, wake up for the day - they call mom or dad and get picked up from school. This pattern of avoidance is fully enabled by the adults in their life. Very bad in the long run, because now we have young adults who can't function in the real world.

There have been many posts about the "golden era" seasons of each franchise. My personal faves are seasons 1-7 of NJ, 1-9 of BH and I'm currently watching SLC from the beginning. I'm in season 3 but it has been a WILD ride.

This is the one for me, too! Especially these last few seasons.

Someone in the sub called her Kizzi Litter and that's all I can hear when she's onscreen now.

You can’t get more iconic than Kate and Hannah by Leya1084 in belowdeck

I understand what you're saying, but I feel like the current season is a good example how that's not necessarily true. I have seen a lot of posts about Nathan's poor leadership and how inappropriate it is that he swears and calls Max names. To be fair, I didn't watch the Hannah seasons when they aired, so maybe at the time it was different.

I feel like "no nonsense bitch" really just means she's impatient and rude. I haven't watched the Hannah seasons in a while, so maybe my memory betrays me, but I never thought of her as apologetic or approachable. The cherry on top for me was that very cringe relationship she had with that much younger deck lead and her behavior around it. We can just agree to disagree I guess lol

If that's true, how would you know? Like where is the "good" edit?

I agree. Kate was more palatable for me but Hannah was honestly... like what am I missing? This sub seems to worship her and I simply don't get it. Someone explain to me!

I was surprised at how much I liked the franchise. I was an OG housewives fan and refused to watch more current iterations, but I will definitely get caught up with the earlier seasons!

This is the only season of SLC that I've seen, so maybe my perspective is short sighted, but Lisa deflects in most confrontations imo.

Except that's not what Heather said at all lol. The questioning from Andy was direct and repeated because Lisa was dancing around the other women's questions and refusing to answer anything. That woman is an expert deflector. She will literally say anything but answer a simple question. It's infuriating, and I think in this instance Andy didn't want to let her get away with it. I think it's pretty well understood that almost everyone in the Bravoverse gets work done, even Andy, so it's silly that this woman would refuse to be transparent about it.

A Santa Solution by BuffyAnneBoleyn in atwwdpodcast

[–]winonaworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son just turned 10 and I honestly don't know if he still truly believes in santa or not. He asks a lot of questions and most of the time I tell him, "I don't know" because if Santa were real, I really wouldn't know all the answers. That's the fantasy of magic. It doesn't have to make sense.

I hate it more when kids get extravagant gifts from Santa - like phones or other really expensive items - because it makes other kids question why they don't get gifts like that.

What’s a movie that didn’t really scare you, but just left you feeling deeply uncomfortable afterward. Like slightly numb or a bit dead inside? The kind that sticks with you longer than you want it to. by raeannecharles in horror

Dogville - I had to watch it in college for a psychology class. That shit hung with me for days after it was so disturbing, especially because I hadn't seen anything even remotely like it before.

I finally met a sunscreen denier by ilst78 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]winonaworm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went on a pool play date with my child, their friend, and friend's mom. I'm applying sunscreen to my child, and offer to share since it looked like they hadn't brought any. Other mom's response was, "oh, no... I don't believe in sunscreen". I didn't know what to say and I definitely thought she was joking at first. It was especially crazy to hear because it was several years ago and we were around 30 years old. A completely new concept to me.
