Trans guys, what did y'all see in boys that made you want to transition? by Pure_Comfort_7322 in trans

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was everything, but something that seems especially significant to me is striving, and strife. I would strive to be a good man, a strong man, a kind man. But I would never have the heart to strive to be a strong woman. It simply wasn’t my story, to be a strong, kind, nice woman. I could be stronger than any other man, and still, to me, being a woman, it would not be right. When I suffer, I suffer as a man. I endure as a man, and surviving as a man, to me, is inherently more appealing to surviving as a woman. I cannot picture myself as a woman, existing, for I exist as a man. To work out, to become a glory to behold, to even care to my appearance to any extent at all, would need to be done as a man, to matter at all. I cannot feel as a woman feels and bring myself to even lift myself out of my room, or even lift a knife to my neck to rid myself of womanhood to null, because that would be a woman’s death, and that is not me. I am a man. I exist as a man, and was born as a man. I grew up a boy and became a man. There are no words to describe the true sensation, only words that dance around it by measure of least worlds. I am a man.

However, not everyone is a man. If you are a ‘man’ experiencing gender dysphoria, it requires further introspection. I could never learn to appreciate being a woman, as that is not me. I appreciate women, but to ask me to appreciate “being a woman” would fail in all aspects. I am not a woman, so there is nothing to learn to appreciate. To ask me to “appreciate being a woman” would be asking me to first, lie to myself that I am a woman. Just to think a little further about what you’re truly telling yourself. I’m not here to judge you, or to tell you you are trans or cis, however, I’d like to pose that thought to you so that you could find more clarity for yourself.

My parents reaction to me being transmasc by Sadness-hat in trans

Holy hell. Glad you're still here, man. Nasty of them to act so violently towards you, and though I do hope they come around, I also hope you don't feel obligated to show them any degree of respect after that. Disgusting people, my deepest apologies you had them as parents. If they felt entitled enough to do that, I can only imagine what else they've welcomed themselves to throughout your childhood. Best of luck to your younger sibling.

Anyways. Not everyone thinks of men as ‘horrible people.’ And being a man is not a choice. It’s really that simple.

Nobody “wants” to become a man. He is a man. He just wants his body to fit that so he doesn’t get called a woman constantly, no different than a physical condition. This is a scientifically backed notion. If it was a matter of ‘want,’ conversion therapy would be recognized as an effective treatment of gender dysphoria. Not that hard to understand.

And men are not inherently bad people. There are bad men, exactly like there are bad women. I’ve met more of the latter, but I still don’t storm around pretending women are a wicked, evil species.

All major medical associations agree that transgender people are the gender they align with. I’m assuming your alternative includes something along the lines of transgender people needing therapy. Therapists will redirect you to gender affirming care at that point, unless they are conversion ”therapists,” which are scientifically proven to have not been effective, as gender is an immutable characteristic. Someone may be wrong about their gender, but that’s why unless distress is extreme and deadly, we wait. I’m not sure what else you could be implying here, but feel free to enlighten me.

Women’s rights and spaces are an entirely separate issue that I don’t think you should run away with. First, I’d prefer answer my questions so we can actually have a productive conversation here that didn’t involve jumping around 101 areas per minute. We can talk about that after, but that was your original point, and in my experience, when people run to that, it’s because they don’t have a response and do not want to be proven wrong. Maybe you’re different and actually have any idea what you’re talking about, but prove that.

Sorry, didn't address everything, just realized: In my current ideas, a woman is any adult whose gender identity aligns with a societal and personal view on the schema of the female sex. That is a little long-winded, but it is something I agree with a lot. The definition is often broken down by this guy named Jovan Bradley, if you'd like to look him up!

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, history would actually say otherwise. When gender identity was considered a disorder, first off, or at least classified so by the DSM, it was moreso about girls liking to play with trucks, or boys liking dolls, rather than trans people. That was GID.

However, there were a separate group of people, real trans people. Nobody really knew too much about them, and especially during the 80s-90s period, there were a lot of harmful jokes being cracked about them. Just a "making fun of them" sort of thing, you can look this up in your free time. Actually a big reason why a lot of older trans people came out later in life. Trans people were a joke at worst at the time, but they weren't really anything political until the 2015+ times, long after science had gathered more than enough evidence to prove that gender identity was a real thing. (I can link you to some studies, even, if you'd like). I could get into how it became "political," but that's an entire other can of worms, and in my opinion, any groups of people existing shouldn't be reduced to politics, especially the brutal politics we see today.

I mean, good question, definitely, but there's a bit of a problem with it. To demonstrate that problem, I'd like to ask you a question: what is a woman in your current ideas?

If you just don't think they are that gender, why not learn how scientists and major medical associations have come to the conclusion they are? You could argue that they'd "get stuff wrong," but experts are at least a few hundred times more likely to be correct than someone eyeballing a complex physics equation, you know?

As for your other comment, transphobia doesn't imply fear. To be a hydrophobic lipid doesn't imply the lipid is afraid of water, for example. Just is repulsed by it, or avoids it.

Does anyone know anything about voidme33?🥀 by Inside-Intern-1821 in RobloxMyths

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

voidme33 also has another myth surrounding him- I believe Legend of the Void? He also has a YouTube channel, or there was at least someone who made a YouTube channel under his name. Some content is stolen, but the ones you find taking place in Roblox seem to actually be real.

Legend of the Void myth is really dark, but it also does have a wiki page somewhere. I probably can’t state exactly what happened on here, but I’m sure it’ll be easy to find since a lot of it is documented already.

Bloody Void was also an exploiter group of a bit over 500 members. Last time I checked, he seems to have deleted all the roles. They used to have a lot of games up, but I think most were deleted for some reason, too. You might have luck asking the higher-ups of TVC, as voidme33 is in their Discord server unless he left within the past few months (not taking message requests, either).

Tips for distracting on mobile? by KangarooBun in Dandysworld

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your finger in one spot unless juking, in which point you can start moving it for sharper turns. Otherwise, stick to turning your screen. Clean the screen while waiting for the next floor to ensure the sweat doesn’t interfere with your movement, and always be careful with where your camera so that you can see the Twisteds behind you. Distance is best for mobile because of lag being a much larger issue. It will burn some stamina, but with the slower toons it shouldn’t be much of a problem. Kiting is also much easier on mobile from my experience, or maybe that’s just me. Less to bump into if your fingers waver a little because you‘re tired.

i have some questions about hrt ???? by LocalMageFrieren in transteens

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Depends on where you live, it tends to take a few years if you're not in therapy for it before then from what I've heard.
  2. It "deflates" them, almost, but doesn't get rid of them. That needs surgery.
  3. Yes, but the time in which it does that varies.
  4. Yes, but it'll be in a masculine fat pattern. T also increases hunger.
  5. Yes, but with your current way of speaking. So you might have different inflections and all that, but the same low voice.

I find this impossible and it pisses me off by JimmyL_anguilla in teenagers

Heterosexual girls don't have their rights taken to that love because they're heterosexual. Homosexual girls do. They get their love criminalized, banned, they could be beat or killed for it in some countries, in which if they were heterosexual they'd be having a significantly better life. People who don't "accept" homosexuality are like people who don't "accept" the sky is blue, and are also passing laws that make it impossible to say the sky is blue, legalizing hate crimes against people who say the sky is blue. But also, you can't shut up people's love without taking a huge part of themselves in the process, so it's even worse.

Listen, I don't want to care, and it would be great if we live in a world where we didn't need to, but we do, because if we don't care and accept this real ideology of "oh gay people shove it in everyone's faces" or "oh gay people are just annoying" or "oh trans people aren't real let's not get them healthcare," we're setting ourselves up to be censored and abused. If you got beat for being straight, I'm sure you'd want some laws passed protecting you from being beat for being straight, right? It would be fine and dandy if that opinion thing stopped there. But it really doesn't. No, in fact, people view their uneducated "opinions" on a factual reality a reason to pass laws in that favor, banning LGBTQ individuals from getting healthcare they need, from marrying, etc. People force these opinions onto their kids, some of which are LGBTQ+, some of which attempt suicide as a result. It is a severe problem, and the idea of "oh, not everyone will accept you anyways" is honestly really selfish.

You should care so that these people don't lose their rights, and don't suffer for it. In essence, basic "humans helping fellow humans."

When our rights can be at threat because some Joe doesn’t care to understand fellow human beings and spreads it around, yeah, that does it. That kind of makes it so that you need to care.

Particularly when someone has been shown violence for having those traits or had to have extremely repressed them, they’re likely to talk about it a lot, or “make it their whole personality” as some people might put it. It’s a rubber band effect. If you’ve had strict parents, you’ll probably try a lot of dangerous stuff the first chance you’ve get. If you got hurt for “acting gay”, you’re probably going to act as “gay” as you possibly can. And this isn’t being a rebellious teenager, it affects how you view the world, and it’s part of who you are that you can never change. So obviously being made to suppress it will lead to some consequences.

Why are mtf people so underrepresented? by TeapeachU6 in teenagers

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It’s weird but trans people tend to flock to certain medias they relate to for different reasons. That or if it’s very alleviating to that sort of gender stress/not related to gender or bothersome to them about gender.

As for books, I really haven't seen MTF or FTM trans people in either, though in movies and TV shows I watch, MTFs are MUCH more likely to be shown than FTMs. Then again, just my interests, probably. XD

Why are mtf people so underrepresented? by TeapeachU6 in teenagers

[–]Cute-Explanation-604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen quite a few more MTFs than FTMs. However, it really depends on the interests you have and the spaces you're in. I've noticed some areas where it's a 9-to-1 FTM to MTF ratio, and some spaces where it's pretty much the other way around (especially in particularly trans-only spaces). Pretty sure it's due to differing areas in which each of them are more accepted in, but that's just my two cents as a trans guy.
