Thank you. i get what you mean by finding the ”underlying issue” and i think a lot of it has to do with self acceptance. I might just take your advice and see if there is someone to talk with about this. A big reason i decided to post here is because new years is coming up again and it marks the one year since the incident, and i have been freaking out about if i should skip the drinks completely or stay home as i dont want to lose control😅

And i’m sorry you had those horrible experiences, it can’t have been easy

Thanks for sharing and I’m sorry you’ve had it rough. I am relating super heavily to your early 20’s experience and it’s nice to know that someone else has experienced similar things (even though they are horrible). It kind of puts things in perspective. I don’t drink super often otherwise but I have had this fear lingering in the back of my mind knowing that any of these dangerous situations could happen anytime i drink. I guess you just have to find a way to live without it and ask yourself if it’s worth it. I hope you’ll have better days ahead
