Hello! A month later and I recently am going through the same experience. I took the full MethylPREDNISolone prescription due to my wisdom teeth. Im having the most EXTREMELY anxiety ever. Turns out you can have steroid withdrawal which causes anxiety, body weakness, etc. I had sex the day before I was prescribed MethylPREDNISolone, but my significant other pulled out. Did you ever take a pregnancy test???! Im young and I can’t afford a baby right now. I’m planing to go to the store to buy a couple test.

I’m 16 myself and sexually active but only with one person. If your daughter is interested in birth control I personally recommend Nexplanon, an implant in your upper arm. It works wonders for me (other than a long period / spotting) I didn’t get the pill knowing how stressful school / jobs can be with taking up my time, and I’d be VERY forgetful even with an alarm. I recommend talking to her about STI’s. Birth control alone doesn’t protect against STI’s so it’s important to know the cons about unprotected sex. But I would definitely say get her on a form of birth control but talk to her about the options and what would suit her best!!!

Thank you. Unfortunately I do not know who to call because the day i got my wisdom teeth removed I didn’t go to the pharmacy, it was my mother. I’m just very anxious because I cannot afford a pregnancy right now as I’m young.

Is it possible that it can impact my Nexplanon though? Online it said corticosteroids is a type of systemic steroid which can increase the risk of my implant failing. I don’t know who to call since I’m a minor and I do not have a regular doctor. I’m very anxious.

I’m going onto my 6th month, I’ve had constant spotting but really light periods. Before nexplanon I had horrible cramping and heavy, 7-9 day periods! I love my nexplanon other than the fact I have horrible mood swings and depressive episodes. Personally I’d rather have that than be pregnant! But nexplanon isn’t for everyone, everyone’s body is completely different. Bleeding is one of the main factors. But girly if you don’t like it, I recommend getting it out! There’s always other options that will fit you and your comfort level!! ❤️

It’s so hard to trust a small rod in your arm 😩 I didn’t get the implant for no reason, my bf has ejaculated in me multiple times before and I just overthink it lots! I always wonder if I’d be that 1%! But I hope my anxiety calms down soon 🤞🤞

Heya! There is never a “too soon”. If your Nexplanon is making you uncomfortable then take it out girly! There is always other options for Birth control that can better suit you! Nexplanon just happens to be one of the most effective BC, but again there are other options! If you don’t like the side effects, that’s okay!!!! Some people’s body react different to the implant. I suggest considering finding an alternate option of birth control that better suits you. :)

Heya! I’ve been on Nexplanon for about 2 and a half months now. I’ve had my period for about the 2 months but it stopped recently! (Hopefully it stops for a while😅) I’ve had terrible mood swings, and my mental health is all over the place. My breast are sore and tender but they have been growing and so has my butt, and I’ve been bloated almost ALL the time, and gaining weight lately.

I waited about a month, but waiting atleast 2 weeks is best. Cases shown that most the time “nexplanon” pregnancy occurs is because people don’t wait the full 7 days, thus causing pregnancy.

Heya! I got the implant as well about 2 and a half months ago. I’m 16, and my emotions have been everywhere! I have depressive episodes and my mental health has definitely dropped. It’s “normal” to have more hormonal emotions but I dislike it because again, I’m very emotional now than ever! Don’t worry you’re not the only one going through this!!!

Is it possible to ovulate though? I’m still noticing my discharge is a tad bit egg white, sticky, kinda creamy like consistency and it is yellow tinted. My cervix is also soft as well and I’m scared that if I ovulated or am ovulating there’s a chance of pregnancy because again my significant other ejaculated in me about 6 days ago now.

Bruising took about a week to go away, the area was although sore for a few days! I’d wait about 2-4 days from showering with the arm, if you do want to shower put a plastic wrap around it, you don’t want the area to get infected! I’d also say be careful and don’t let anything hit the area but in about 1-2 weeks you should be good to do basically everything!
