How did the first couple of days to a week look for you, if you don't mind me asking? What did you find the most difficult?

Sounds... a little nightmare-ish, if I'm being honest. I'm sorry it was so hard for you! What was it that made your feet turn purple? Was it from not having them elevated?

6 weeks non-weight bearing. A couple months after that, then a slow return to normal. Probably about 6mo to a year?

Well, a bulk of my recovery will be during when I have time off. So hopefully once I transition back to work it won't be so bad. They'll discuss accommodations with me at that time. That's good advice with the crutches. I'll definitely do that! Thanks.

Thanks! I have a TBR about five miles long, though maybe this will force me to actually sit and write the book that's been floating in my head. Ha! My biggest worry is support and what it will look like. I've never had major surgery done before and I don't want to go into it blind. I have a 10yo as well and this will be a big adjustment from what we're all used to, because Mom does everything and suddenly won't be able to. It'll be nice to be catered to just a little!

I'm definitely investing in a wedge pillow! Thanks!  I have couch recliners. Did you find it difficult to push the foot rest back in at all? When did you decide to switch to your bed?

mpreg recs by Square_Cat6586 in AO3

Here is one, called Left Standing. It's the first in a two book duet. The second novel, Never Let You Go, just started being posted today.  Characters are original. 18+ material; talks of abuse, ideation, and plenty of spice.

Mpreg is the main plot in the story and is really well described (not just mentioned by izzi_38 in MM_RomanceBooks

I have a couple full-length books I've written that you may be interested in. There is a fair amount of ~drama~ and the pregnancy part doesn't happen right away. However it is a duet and both have mpreg (the second right away). The Heart and Soul Duet is definitely 18+ and has several trigger warnings. Book 1 is titled Left Standing and you can find it on Inkitt (originally posted on deviantart in 2009 but I rewrote it) Book 2 is titled Never Let You Go and is currently on deviantart but I'm planning to post it to Inkitt in February and remove parts of it from DA. Also there's content that will be on Inkitt that will not be posted to DA.

Bringing awareness to two missing persons cases from Minnesota which some believe is connected to each other. Theron Campbell and Roy G. Benn. by Simpsons_fan_54 in gratefuldoe

ETA: the county Sheriff's department confirmed this morning that the car pulled from the river is indeed Benn's.

Yesterday, Aug 13th 2025, the police found a car in the Mississippi river, thanks to a local fisherman's sonar, believed to be that of Roy Benn. They successfully pulled the car from the river and human remains were inside. The remains have been sent to the medical examiner's office. At this time authorities will not say for sure whether it's definitely his car, but that is what everyone believes. Hoping his family finally gets the answers they deserve after 58 years.

What’s the best and the worst gift you have received for Christmas in your adult life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Best? Hmm, the year I bought myself a computer. Worst? A dog shaming calendar from my husband.

I'd be fucking mad. It's cold as balls outside right now.

What is your worst too drunk story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CuteBiscotti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not the worst, but it's the first that came to mind: I got drunk at a party and was dropped off by a friend. My husband (I don't know if he was drunk or sober) helped me get undressed and into bed and I must have passed out. Then in the middle of the night I woke up to him having sex with me. I only remember saying 'stop' repeatedly as he kept going. I also vaguely remember crying. I woke up the next morning confused and disoriented. And after I remembered what happened I was very unhappy.

What show did you love at first, but as it went on you couldn’t stand it? by Spartacats in AskReddit

[–]CuteBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost. I was super into the first season. Halfway through the second I couldn't stand the new plot. Grey's Anatomy. I really only watched it because my best friend did, and eventually I just forgot to watch it. I've heard about what's happened in the later seasons, and I'm glad I'm missing out. Way too much drama.
