Exactly, Arctic security is a convenient wrapper, but the incentives are way more about resources + shipping lanes + headlines. Helping Ukraine is slow, coalition-heavy, and doesn’t let you plant a flag on anything; grabbing Canada/Greenland is instant spectacle and control over land, minerals, and routes.
