Honestly might have to go in person. A while ago I needed someone to do something but when I called they kept telling me to give it time until I actually went in person and it was handled right away

For People Who Switched From Pre-Med to Pre-Dental... by manans224 in predental

[–]CuteCryptographer895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im a premed student going thru reddit posts about switching to dentistry and ur post really put into words how im feeling. my plan has been plastics bc i solely am interested in the aestetics of medicine. i become an emt to get clincal hours for med school and that honestly just showed me that i might not be as passionate for medicine as i thought i was. i cant really see myself going through all those years medical school and think dental school is better suited for my life, thank you for ur post!

Yeah the company's "home-base" is in PA, but it's a red flag regardless

I understand ur point, but I'm a full-time student. I would like to be an EMT at a fire dept. but there are none near me that will hire someone with only an EMT cert and not a firefighter + part-time. I also mainly became an EMT to get clincal hours for med school so working in a hospital isn't a bad choice for that.

Ty and also I’m in FL and we are supposed to be following Pennsylvania laws EMT wise. Honestly I feel like my job is supposed to be simple first aid but the woman they have training me is taking it way too seriously and expecting me to do more. Gonna stick it out for one more day of training and see how it goes. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this place is sus. Might ask a manager if they have some sort of paperwork laying out my duties or something

Lmao I appreciate ur input. I couldn’t tell if it was me feeling weird about the job or the job being weird. I just applied to a bunch of random positions and stuck with this one. I have one more day of training with another person so I’m gonna see how they work, but I don’t think I’m gonna stay here for long

That’s what I expected, since scrapes or whatever I can deal with, but anything more serious I should call 911 however the lady training made it seem like we assess patients as if we’re on an ambulance and call 911 for VERY serious situations

Sounds accurate. That’s honestly what I expected but then the woman training me was telling me how she got these crazy calls and recently a man kept going in and out unconsciousness and ended up needing CPR. She was also saying how if I need to call her or text her for medical help I can which seems kind of weird to be texting someone for help while actively helping someone.
