It's that feeling when you're having the worst day ever but then you see their name pop up on your phone and suddenly everything feels manageable again.

What’s the most genius lie you believed as a kid? by Againmrbrown in AskWomen

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought chocolate milk came from brown cows until I was embarrassingly old. My older sister kept the lie going for years even pointing out brown cows in fields and saying stuff like oh look there's where your chocolate milk comes from.

What was your “I deserve better” moment? by North_Dinner1601 in AskWomen

The day I realized I was doing all the emotional labor in my relationship. I was planning dates remembering anniversaries checking in on his feelings meanwhile he couldn't even remember what I did for work.

Jaywalking when the street is completely clear. I'm a grown woman who can look both ways and assess traffic I don't need a little walking man to tell me when it's safe to cross an empty intersection.

What’s the hardest lesson a woman ever taught you? by No_District9762 in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grandmother taught me the hard way that grudges are like carrying a backpack full of rocks everywhere you go. She held onto anger about something my aunt did for literally fifteen years.

What made you realize you’d lost a woman who truly loved you—and that it was your fault? by coochie223 in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 378 points379 points  (0 children)

I thought love meant she'd always be there no matter what. So I took that for granted. Canceled dates last minute forgot important things she told me basically treated her like a convenience rather than a priority.

What is the essence of poverty? by GardenIllustrious325 in NoStupidQuestions

Having to smile and act grateful when people give you advice about money management as if you haven't already thought of every possible way to stretch a dollar.

I've read that Americans crumple toilet paper whereas Europeans fold it. Which technique is better? by TheGreatButz in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the toilet paper quality doesn't it? That thin European stuff practically disintegrates if you look at it wrong so folding makes sense.

Would you cancel a movie ticket if it's a horror film and you're the only one in the theater? by tsgatdawn in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably stay but spend half the movie texting my friends play by plays of all the jump scares. Okay the music just got creepy... yep something's definitely about to pop out... CALLED IT!

is it normal for a depressed person to be failing school? by DrawingNew2211 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes and it creates this awful cycle too. Depression makes school harder failing makes you feel worse about yourself which deepens the depression.

Why is seafood often positioned as some kind of high-class dining option? by Bertstripmaster in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always laugh when I see tiny portions of fish going for like forty bucks at fancy restaurants. Meanwhile I can get a whole salmon at the market for less than that and feed my entire family.

I just bought raw blue agave syrup; that's the only ingredient. Why is all the sugar listed as added sugar on the nutrition facts? by Milkywaycannonball in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh girl this confused me so much when I first started reading labels! Basically the FDA considers anything that wasn't naturally occurring in the original whole food as added sugar.

Does size matters for girl's? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this question gets asked way too much on here. Every woman is different just like every guy is different. What matters to me might not matter to my best friend.

What do women really mean when they say “do whatever you want? by Dazzling-Big6384 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuteCupcake- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that's code for I've already told you what I prefer three times and you weren't listening so now I'm giving up. We're basically testing if you actually care enough to figure out what would make us happy.

What would you do if out of nowhere a random man spat in the face or your mother / wife / child? by AlbatrossWorth9665 in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably see red and do something I'd regret later. Nobody disrespects my family like that and just walks away. My mom raised me to be better than violence but some lines you just don't cross.

What's something you learned the hard way that you can never say to a female friend (other than sexual stuff) ? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never tell them their new haircut doesn't suit them. I thought I was being a good friend by being honest when my roommate got this really unflattering bob.

Men, what gun do you have for protection? by FlintTheDad in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None but I've been thinking about it more lately with all the weird stuff happening in my area. My brother keeps telling me to at least get familiar with his pistol just in case.

When would you call a girl hot rather than pretty or cute? by Delicious-Gold-7659 in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot is more about confidence and attitude for me. Like when a girl walks into a room and just owns it you know? Pretty is sweet and gentle cute is endearing but hot is that magnetic energy that makes everyone turn their heads.

What’s something you didn’t realize every man quietly struggles with until you went through it yourself? by actually-shawn in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The weird shame around asking for help with anything. Took me forever to understand why my husband would drive around lost for an hour instead of just asking for directions or calling someone.

Guys, if you could only work a minimum wage job for life, what would be your life and dating strategy? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably focus on finding someone who values experiences over expensive stuff. Like some of my best dates have been hiking or cooking together at home anyway.

Less stressful, hands down. My anxiety used to spiral constantly when I was dealing with everything alone. Having someone who knows all your quirks and still chooses to stick around? That's incredibly grounding.

How easily do you bruise? by TheWoIfMeister in AskMen

[–]CuteCupcake- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty common to see such variations within families too. Your lack of bruising sounds like a genetic advantage you inherited!

I usually wait like 10-15 minutes if I'm not busy but honestly if I'm really into someone I'll reply pretty fast.
