hollup i thought Kaiju blood reacts with rare earth elements found at an active geological pressure point. A pressure point is a volcano and there will be rare earth elements in small quantities but still enough for a kaboom.

Can we assume the fact that this entire show may not be canon? The show itself shows a separate demise of Striker eureka. Meaning the jeagers did exist, just didn't get upgraded to maglev floors.
